Earl of Sandwich: I couldn’t find an official “about” section on their website, but according to Wikipedia, Earl of Sandwich was conceived by Orlando Montagu, who is the son of the 11th Earl of Sandwich (yes, it’s a real title). He is a descendant of the 4th Earl (John Montagu), who’s claim to fame is the inventor of the sandwich. Although there are now various locations, the first restaurant opened in Downtown Disney in 2004. This also happens to be the location I visited. They offer a plethora of sandwich options (including breakfast in the mornings), but I went with one of my favorites, the Cuban. It was loaded with tender carnitas, ham, gooey Swiss cheese, pickles, and mustard sauce. The meat was flavorful, and the bread was thick, chewy, and crispy. There was just the right amount of mustard for additional flavor and to prevent the sandwich from being too dry. Earl of Sandwich also did an excellent job of wrapping up my sandwich to keep it nice and hot. It was a sandwich worthy of royalty. This was the first meal on my Disney vacation, and it made for a fantastic start. I would definitely eat here again and will have to be on the lookout for other locations. Ele pedia salames, presunto e queijo em pedaços e pedia para colocar entre duas fatias de pão. 🥪Dessa forma poderia comer com uma mão e jogar com a outra. ♦️♣️ Assim nasceu o “sandwich” ! São 250 anos de experiência da família, e o segredo está em dourar o pão enquanto você está na fila, tostar as carnes e também um toque da receita secreta que é especial da família. Only downside it's so far from the parks and in Disney springs Me and @planmydisneyholiday have a bit of a routine. He'll be at the gates for rope drop. He can film what he needs to for his channel. While I get breakfast, and then meet him in the parks. We go on some rides with short wait tines. Then have a break and eat breakfast. A last minute solo Disney vacation featuring some yummy food. The first two slides were at #boatwrightsdininghall at Port Orleans I didn’t have a reservation but I got there right when they opened and I mean it was just me so they sat me right away. I had the all you can eat platter and enjoyed the chicken and sides and corn bread. Service was lovely. Then my friend @kramonaeggert came to spend the night and we had some beignets from the resort since it was pouring rain. They were better without the sauce in our opinion. The first two days here and we went to Disney Springs twice! 😂 One of my favorite places for a sandwich is Earl of Sandwich; my all-time favorite, go-to is the Holiday Turkey. Description from their website ”Turkey, cornbread stuffing, gravy, cranberry sauce & mayonnaise.” Yesterday, after months of waiting, we finally got to try Gideon’s cookies and I got the peanut butter nitro cold brew. if you’ve not had one of these yet, you definitely should! They are so warm, gooey, and delicious. We had the original chocolate chip and peanut butter crunch. As you can see Josh’s peanut butter survived the trip home better than mine. Lol!
