I will never get over the sweet simplicity of a newborn…the incredible way God knits them together in their mother’s womb in a short nine months. I don’t mean to offend anyone, but I don’t understand the concept of putting babies in buckets or tiny beds or unnatural poses that are only safe to be done as photoshop composites. I remember fifteen or so years ago wishing I didn’t have to do all the props and different colored wraps and huge bows, etc. for newborns…my dream was to photograph newborns naturally and simple. Back then, I honestly didn’t think this would be something my clients would love as much as I do. Yet now, I’m so thankful I came to a place where I ended up trusting my art and creating what I loved, despite other’s styles and opinions. (Note to all creatives: do it your own way, the ones who are like-minded and appreciate your art will find you!) Because after all, is there anything more precious or cuter than a tiny newborn baby? My focus is and always will be to photograph your babies just as they are. Practically perfect in every way.

Last weekend completely changed my life. Spending the weekend with 11 other artists who are all equally as passionate about motherhood photographer fueled my soul. Oh my... this sweet, adorable baby bear. BIG ANNOUNCEMENT: It’s been a many years since we’ve made some much needed price adjustments, and we have consistently been lower priced than all the competition without sacrificing quality. We never ever want to sacrifice quality. In an effort to keep up with current trends in equipment and props, editing software and tools, continuing photography education, and other business expenses, we know that change is much needed to be successful in such a fast paced, ever changing market. As a custom photographer, we don’t just quickly shoot the images and then immediately hand them right back to you, but instead we prep your session in advance, dedicate as much time needed per session, and then pour many hours of hand re-touching (using up to 4 advanced editing programs) per session. This is because quality is of upmost importance, and we want you to have the very best possible images hanging on your walls, and gracing your social media pages. As of April 15, our price list will increase. Sessions will start at $150 (for sessions, other than newborn), and there will still be 3 session options. The Full session price for families, kids, milestone and seniors will stay the same, with a small change to the number of images in the session. For newborn sessions, we will be adding another session option, so that now instead of only 2 options to choose from, there will be 3 options! There will also be a bonus option to add on 5 images for those that choose the Newborn Deluxe session. Newborn sessions will still start out at the same great price for the lowest package, and that package will look slightly different than what it has been. So.... what does this look like if you already have a session on our calendar? We will honor all current session pricing, even if your session isn’t until this summer, so no worries about price changes for those that are already on my calendar. Hi, it's Lindsay! 👋🏼 So much has happened in the past year that I thought a good reintroduction was more than appropriate. 🙃 I'm married to Jordan, a man of many talents, and have 2 precious kiddos. We moved our little fam from TX to OK this past summer, and I put LDP on pause until we became more settled. ❤️🩹 It’s crazy to reflect on the past 11 years: from NM to TX to OK // school-based speech pathologist by day to wedding & engagement photographer by night // THEN newborn & family photographer // online to in-person educator–this little business of mine is ever-changing with me, keeping me on my toes, as I re-evaluate and serve my family where we are and where my heart strings are tugging. 📸 I’m really grateful for the opportunities it's given me, places I've traveled, flexibility I've gained, the friendships I've made with vendors and clients, the ways it's shaped me and the lessons I've learned.💜 Yet in the same breath, I know that this major gift also caused some major pain. The “balance” I worked hard to have felt lost overnight. I let pride enter in, boundaries collapse and burnout get the best of me. It wasn’t how LDP started, and it’s not how it’s going to end. 🫶🏼 So NOW, I can say I am so very grateful for a longer-than-I’d-hoped “wintering season” to regroup, realign and refocus my priorities as I *SLOWLY* begin to establish LDP in Oklahoma. When you book an in-home newborn session with me I always allot for at least two hours! You might be thinking, TWO HOURS?! Geeze, Lindsey, that’s a long time for you to be in my space/keeping my older kids well behaved! Well, I do this to account for the unexpected, and to go off of baby’s timing- because it’s their world now, we’re just living in it, amirite?? This precious little girl was loving her milk, so we took lots of feeding breaks to make sure we were meeting her needs, but still making sure we caught some beautiful moments. Two hours lets your toddlers take a break, get a snack, and come back happy to play, snuggle, and love on their new baby! This is just one benefit of an in-home newborn session, there are so many more! Braxton// part 2. 😍😍😍. Braxton is such a cutie!!! He was one of our Hearts Petite Newborn session babies, and I’m so glad his mama signed him up for this, as he was the perfect little sleeper, all snuggled up. Ahhhhhhh 😍😍😍. Braxton is such a cutie!!! He was one of our Hearts Petite Newborn session babies, and I’m so glad his mama signed him up for this, as he was the perfect little sleeper, all snuggled up. I can’t even pick a favorite from his session - I love them all 💙. His mama brought a stuffed Boba from his baby shower, and we were able to incorporate it at the end of the session. I had the best morning mentoring the talented @morganorahood.photo while she did a shootalong with me at a newborn session! I don’t know about you, but for me the marketing/self promotion part of having a small business is so difficult. Imposter syndrome is real, y’all. I over think every little detail of every post, every mini, every session. I’m a people pleaser by nature, so I never want to feel like I’m making someone else uncomfortable- when I worked in retail I was the girl who hated asking if you wanted to open a credit card- like that two second question would ruin your day or something. So this is a learning curve for me! Anyone feel this way? What are some ways you helped work past this feeling? I was told the other day to view your marketing as the answer to someone’s question, but man it’s hard to get in that mindset! This session was a great prep for my motherhood minis this weekend! Sometimes newborns don’t sleep through their whole sessions and will wake up for a bit, or possibly even nearly all of the session. Each baby is different. When this happens, we either try to get baby back to sleep right away (which depends on the poses we are trying to achieve, and how long they had already been asleep) OR we try for some awake images. Babies that are sleeping very lightly, often take longer through posing, as they can be fussy off and on through the lighter sleep, so we try to leave plenty of time for posing and also to allow for baby to be awake for brief periods if needed. Little Gabriella was the perfect mix of asleep and awake, though she was still very sleepy. Awe, sweet Maverick - he didn’t want to miss A THING. He also has the best eye contact ever!!! Despite all the sleepy images you see here, I promise you he was awake way more than asleep, lol, but he was definitely a sleepy little man, and such a cutie. Mav was born almost 2 weeks early and weighed in at 9 lb, 4 oz. His mama requested a perfect color scheme of green, blue, white and brown. I don’t get to use lavender very often, but when I do 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜, it gets all the hearts. I was so excited that she let me put her on the little bed without being wrapped up - lately all the babies want to be wrapped when on the bed. It's crucial to lead by example, showing our children the importance of pursuing our passions, having gratitude, helping others, and staying curious ourselves. This is my sweet sister and brother in love! If this moment doesn’t say LOVE all over it...then I don’t know what else would! I remember the day they got married. I was asked to say a speech. LOL If you know me, I get major anxiety if I am told I need to do a speech. I remember I went prepared, I had it all typed out. I think it was like the 3rd word that I was able to get out, then I started to ball. 😭 At that moment I realized I typed my speech out too small. LOL I could not see any of it. 🤣 I then had to wing it and speak from the heart at that moment. I do remember one main part. It was directed at my brother in love. For him to make sure he was true to her and took care of her! 🥰 I can confirm to you this day, he has done just that! I am so proud of both of them and the life they have created and y 3 handsome nephews.
