This mic was made sometime in the early 1940s. Its operating principle is piezoelectric and has a sensitivity dial on the front. A little battered and craving a desk stand, this little guy is a lovely specimen nonetheless!!

Deicide-Banished by Sin (CD, 2024) This just in, the new Deicide album. I’m not going to talk about the half assed AI artwork, because it seems like that’s all anyone is taking about, though, Deicide has never been known for their art like many other Horror/gore based DM bands of the time (aside from the “Once Upon the Cross” art, that was originally meant for Cannibal Corpse). I think this album is a much needed return to form for Deicide, especially after “Overtures” which sounded unfinished. Benton’s layered vocals are back, as well as the rest of the vicious Deicide sound. “Banished” is everything the previous album should have been, as well as several albums before it IMO.
