This book was bought in the Boots Inverness during our summer Scotland trip for the overall development. But the author's scientific attitude and yummy recipes for little tummies made a revolution in my mind. Firstly this book helps make your child less picky about food but at the same time healthy recipes are delicious. Secondly - all ingredients could be easily found in local British stores (ideally in Waitrose - you can also find cooked purées Ella’s Kitchen there). Thirdly - this book it’s not only about food, it’s about learning and interacting with your baby. I don’t remember clearly when I found out that the thick book from Boots was some kind of sample. When I have read more about founder Paul Lindley’s family - I ordered 4 books from this series. Actually they are all big with hardcovers. Unfortunately I skipped a lot of tasty recipes with short versions. Additionally I have a beautiful weaning planner for Michael now. I am really grateful to the authors because my son now has a really good appetite and good mood while eating. First Food Book became my table book and taught me how to simply and tasty combine food ingredients for amazing baby dishes. #michaelcyrillibrary

I've really been lacking on instgram recently. It's been such a crazy month that I haven't had time or the energy at points to make posts. We are moving at the end of the month, so we are packing up all the flat at the moment. Which isn't easy with a 13 month old that is almost walking 😂 Ivy has been demolishing food the last couple of days and mostly finished her plates at meal times! Since Ollie had 2 really nasty bouts of being sick after he had been eating purees, we’ve been terrified to give him anything other than milk. We’ve now had an allergy test done and everything we tested for came back negative (so possibly an intolerance if anything) so we bit the bullet today and tried a bit if BLW instead! For Ivy's lunch today, I tried something I had seen on instrgram this morning and it turned out pretty good! I probably should have used a 3rd egg in the mixture to cover it a bit more but it looked yummy anyway! -@littlefreddieuk Sweet pepper quinoa, bulgur wheat, rice and lentils with added chicken - Blueberry French toast pudding with 4 strawberry flowers Made with blueberries, 2 eggs, whole milk, 2 slices of white bread and cinnamon. Place oven to 200 degrees Rip up your bread and place into a dish with some blueberries Mix eggs, milk and cinnamon in a bowl then pour over bread. I didn't get a photo of Ivy's dinner last night but it pretty much looked exactly like this! We got an Indian last night and I got Ivy something from the kids menu. She had a biryani rice and chicken with a vegetable curry sauce! It's not often we really give Ivy a lot of the takeaways we have. She will have a bit occasionally. She bloody loved it!! She was shovelling handfuls into her mouth, I did try hers too and it was pretty damn tasty.
