Pulp Fiction (1994) _ One of my favorite movies. I know it nearly word for word. When I got my first dvd player, it had a repeat feature on it. It would repeat the movie without returning to the main menu. This was one of the like 5 movies that I wore out on that dvd player. I would turn the tv off when I left or went to bed but I would let the dvd player just play constantly. I would get home from work and turn the tv on and just watch the movie from wherever it happened to be. I was born in Knoxville and I love that Tarantino mentions East Tennessee in most of his films. Flawless film with possibly the best movie soundtrack. Incredible casting. God‘s Army (DVD) Review: Erzengel Gabriel hat im Himmel einen Krieg entfacht und will die Menschen aus Eifersucht vernichten. Doch nicht alle Engel stehen auf seiner Seite und stellen sich gegen ihn um die Menschheit zu beschützen. God‘s Army und auch seine Fortsetzungen sind in meinen Augen doch sehr unterschätzte Filme, die eine düstere Geschichte von einer drohenden Apokalypse erzählen. Christopher Walken ist hier als Gabriel in einer seiner besten Rollen zu sehen und spielt diese mit überzeugender Leidenschaft. Mit Hass im Herzen ist er diabolisch und charismatisch, schafft es aber auch mit schwarzen Humor seiner Figur ausreichend Tiefe zu verleihen. Nebendarsteller wie Viggo Mortensen und Eric Stoltz werten den Cast zusätzlich auf, während die menschlichen Darsteller relativ blass dagegen wirken. Hier hat man sich einfach zu sehr auf die Engel konzentriert und leider versäumt Obwohl es hier auch einige Action Szenen und etwas Horror zu sehen gibt, setzt der Film auf eine ruhige Gangart und fesselt mit seiner Geschichte. Das alles ist zwar nicht glaubhaft oder logisch, mindert aber nicht den Unterhaltungswert der hier geboten wird. Der Film bringt viele religiöse Fragen mit sich, schafft genug Mystery und Horror Elemente und setzt mit sarkastischen Humor noch einen drauf. Die Sakralmusik passt hier perfekt und wird in den richtigen Momenten eingesetzt, um durchgehend Atmosphäre zu erzeugen. Die Effekte haben sicherlich schon etwas Staub angelegt und werden heute nicht mehr jeden gefallen, zeigen dafür aber den Charme der guten alten Zeit. Fazit: Ein starker Mystery Horror der zwar ein paar kleinere Längen aufweist, diese aber mit einer guten Story und genug Atmosphäre, sowie einen überragenden Cast wieder vergessen macht. Some Kind of Wonderful (1987) - 평점 4 _ 하워드 더치 감독, 에릭 스톨츠 주연, 매리 스튜어트 매스터슨, 리 톰슨 출연, 1996년 4월 IMDB 197위 (recurrency 11월 1주), 사이트 평점 7.0 _ 예전에도 몇 번 얘기했듯 7~80년대 + 미국 + 청춘 + 로맨스 조합의 영화엔 몇 번 데이다보니 이젠 잘 손이 가지 않는데, 그래도 올 초에 본 아메리칸 그래피티가 나쁘지 않아서 머뭇머뭇거리며 틀어봤더니 주인공인 에릭 스톨츠가 엄청 잘생겨서 보게 된 영화. 그리고 아니나다를까 또 데인 영화(....) _ 에릭 스톨츠가 맡은 케이스, 그가 짝사랑하는 리 톰슨이 연기하는 아만다, 그런 케이스를 가슴 아프게 바라보는 매리 스튜어트 매스터슨이 연기하는 소꿉친구 워티의 전형적인 삼각관계 로맨스에 적당히 미래에 대한 고민도 좀 담아내고, 거기에 또 적당히 우정과 모험을 담아낸 무난한 이야기. 다만 처음에 얘기했듯 주인공을 맡은 에릭 스톨츠가 너무 잘생겨서(....) 어떤 걸 연기해도 대충 장면이 나오는데다, 매리 스튜어트 매스터슨의 톰보이 + 츤데레 스타일도 인상적이었다. 그에 비해 리 톰슨이 연기하는 아만다는 영 밋밋한데다 그걸 받쳐줄 매력도 그닥이었지만, 그걸 감안하더라도 데였다는 건 너무 박한 평일지도 모르겠다😅🤣🤣 . 그래도 케이스가 평범한 너드남이고 아만다가 학교 최고의 인기녀라는 설정부터가 영 이상하긴 하다. 당연히 그 반대가 되어야 하는 거 같은데🙄🙄 say anything의 이온 스카이도 그렇고 스파이더맨 시리즈의 커스틴 던스트도 그렇고 (나는 커스틴 던스트를 무척 좋아하긴 한다. 특히 폴 베타니와 나온 윔블던은👍👍) 뭔가 영화들을 죽 보다보면 미국인들이 좋아하는 전형적인 '구김살 없이 잘 자란 착하고 쾌활한 모범생'이라는 스테레오 타입이 있는 거 같은데, 우리가 생각하는 이미지와는 영 다른 게 신기하기도 하고, 그래서 재미있기도 하다. :) _ _ #사랑시대 #하워드더치 #에릭스톨츠 #매리스튜어트매스터슨 #리톰슨 #80년대 #미국 #청소년 #청춘 #로맨스 #성장 #역시나 #SomeKindOfWonderful #HowardDeutch #EricStolz #MaryStuartMasterson #LeaThompson #영화 #IMDB #197위 #IMDB187 #평생보기2222 #0215편 #시즌1 #215편 #2023_032
