Firstly, she has a true talent in what she does. She created gorgeous arrangements at our wedding venue which were both in-keeping with the natural style of the place and also perfectly captured the pared-back, relaxed vision we had. The bouquets and buttonholes were also beautiful; I'd told Rachel how much I loved dahlias and despite them coming out of season by the time of our wedding, she'd managed to keep a few growing in her garden which was really the icing on the cake. Secondly, Rachel is such a joy to work with. She is kind, approachable, hard-working and very accommodating (a week before the wedding I decided I'd like flowers in my hair, and she helped me out at the last minute!) Our marvellous shop in the centre of Bude has allowed us to grow more than I could have imagined over the past five years. It’s now time to take Bleujen into its next phase. While Bleujen was my first baby, I’ve since had two little humans and in order for me to balance mum life, flowers and the occasional glass of rosé in the sunshine, I’m moving the business a little closer to home… All the best bits of Bleujen will still exist, with weddings, deliveries and a click and collect service, plus HQ will be in my new gorgeous at-home studio (which I can’t wait to tell you more about).
