Glasgow: Loon Fung @_halalfoodies have a newfound love for the Chinese cuisine…the options are amazing in Sauchiehall street so here’s another tasty find for use! @loonfung.glasgow is a beautiful restaurant in the City Centre of Glasgow with lots of seating and a great atmosphere for the perfect dining experience. We got: Prawn Toast, Salt and Chilli Chips, Vegetable Spring Rolls, Chicken Wings and Prawn Dim Sum to start off our meal. The starters were super tasty with lots of flavour. The prawn toast and spring rolls being the favourite! For mains we shared some Vegetable Chow Mein, Stir Fried Beef with Chilli, Chicken with Green Pepper and Black Bean Sauce. To go with that we got egg fried rice. These dishes were exceptionally tasty, the beef being a personal favourite as it was so juicy and tender. The dishes were bursting with flavours, they really have perfected the art of tasty food. Staff were really friendly and welcoming. Glasgow: Paratha Box [PR- Invite] A family favourite and loved by all. @parathaboxuk kindly invited us down to the Lister Street Branch. They have extended their opening hours until 11pm during Ramadan which is perfect as it’s right next to the Mena Mosque. Where better to go to satisfy post Taraweeh cravings 😍 Over the month of Ramadan they have a specials Date Milk drink which we absolutely loved, so fresh and tasty. They are also selling this and the Mango Lassi in 1L bottles for Ramadan so grab it before it finishes. For mains we got the classic Chicken Tikka Paratha Roll, our all time favourite, and a Grilled Chicken Steak Pizza Paratha. This was our first time trying the Pizza Paratha and it was just so tasty. It truly tasted just as amazing as it looks, so flavoursome and packed with lots of cheese and toppings! We also got some Chicken Steak with Chips drizzled in peri peri sauce. 1/2 of _halalfoodies wasn’t the biggest fan of the sauce however the chicken was still really juicy and fresh so maybe we can go for the peppercorn sauce next time round. The staff were friendly and accommodating. Its always a pleasant experience and we will continue visiting again and again, especially when those paratha cravings hit. Glasgow: Iceburg [PR - Invite] Who’s the new talk of the town…? You know it’s @iceburguk . They took the Glasgow dessert scenes with a storm and have multiple videos appearing on our tiktok fyp so when they invited us down to try their delicious desserts we were super excited. Along Paisley Road West, Glasgow, Iceburg has already made a name for itself with their tasty desserts and unique spin on things. As soon as we entered we were welcomed really warmly and given a run through and taste test of all their popular gelato flavours. They are 100% freshly made, which you can tell as the flavours are so rich and creamy. We tried quite a few of their flavours, some of our favourites being the caramel shortbread, oreo and mango (this LITERALLY tasted like fresh Pakistani mangos and it was just WOW!). Their unique flavour which you’ll find very interesting is the black ice… it’s definitely one you have to experience yourself 🤭 We were then given a range of desserts and drinks from their menu to sample which included: IceBitez, Raspberry, White and Milk Chocolate Waffle, and Freshly Made Doughnuts. These desserts were insanee, all the hype this place is getting is worth it. Everything was so fresh, loaded with so much chocolate goodness, flavours and toppings. The IceBitz and doughnuts are a MUST try when you visit, we haven’t had such tasty doughnuts in all of Glasgow. For drinks we got the White Kinder Milkshake and Strawberry Mojito. Can we just take a moment and appreciate how perfectly they make their milkshakes… so thick and creamy, it’s perfection. The Mocktail was also very tasty with a nice sour kick to it which balanced all the sweetness of the desserts out. If you’ve got to this part of the review and haven’t started thinking about when you’re going to Iceburg then what are you doing! Get down there ASAP. Glasgow: Roya Another TikTok sensation which @_halalfoodies is late too BUT this was 100% worth the hype. Looking for an amazing and boujee dine? Then @roya.gla is the one for you. The mood and vibes in the restaurant were immaculate! We got: Shawarma Tacos: mix of lamb and chicken shawarma tacos, this was an amazing start to the meal… we knew what was following was going to be just as good. Really flavoursome and tender shawarma. Mini Kebab Platter: a mini mixed grill for 2 which came with koubideh kebab, chicken tawook, kebab torsh that came served with salad, naan and sauce. The meat was just DIVINEEEE. So juicy and succulent 🤤 Lahmacun: a traditional Middle Eastern Pideh. Just thinking about this is making us drool, so cheesy and full of flavour - all things tasty. This is a must try when you guys visit! On the side we got the very spicy fattoush… sadly this was not our cup of tea because of the dressing drizzled over it. We also got the batata harra which we really enjoyed. The sauce that came with it was 🤌🏽 We went during the week however it was still super busy so we would recommend to book in advance. Glasgow: Banca Di Roma Long time coming but sadly we can’t say we agree with the raving tiktok reviews. When @bancadiromauk opened, it was the talk of the town so we visited towards the end of last year but unfortunately we were not impressed. The restaurant is really beautifully decorated and it has the perfect vibes for a fancy meal. We got: To start we got Bruschetta, Gamberi in Guazzetto, fries and Foccacia. On a whole they were all very average with quite peculiar flavours 😕 Raviolo Burro and Salvia: fresh ravioli with ricotta and spinach. This was one of the nicer dishes with a decent taste but sadly the portion was small. Paccheri della casa: Paccheri pasta with tomato, aubergine and burrata cheese sauce. This just tasted like tinned tomatoes but still pleasant enough. It was served in a very nice dish and stayed piping hot the whole time. Margerita Pizza: This literally tasted like microwaveable pizza. It really wasn’t giving authentic Italian compared to other restaurants we’ve recently visited. We had a horrible racist experience outside the restaurant entrance which the staff dealt with nicely. Glasgow: Burgerico [PR - Invite] Glasgow can never have too many banging burger spots in our opinion and @burgericosglasgow sure does deliver. Newly opened on Paisley Road, it’s a must visit. We got: Burgerico’s Beef Burger: three smashed beef patties with salad, and their own Burgerico sauce. This was a really good beef burger with lots going on. You defos won’t get bored of it. Burgerico’s Chicken Burger: two chicken fillets with salad, mozzarella sticks, garlic and Burgerico’s sauce. The chicken was really juicy and had a slight smoked taste to it which we surprisingly really enjoyed. Again their burger sauce was really tasty and added a lot of flavour to the burgers. The burgers sure were messy but aren’t they the best kind 🤭 Philly Steak Loaded Fries: The STAR of the show. We could have these loaded fries all day long and never get sick of them. So cheesy and saucy…the PERFECT combination. We also got the oreo and kinder bueno milkshakes. These were very thin in consistency so not our favourite milkshake. But the taste was good nevertheless. The staff were really warm and friendly. Our order took a bit longer to come than usual however it was worth the wait. Everything was super tasty and piping hot. Glasgow: Sichuan House Our new favourite Chinese spot! Is anyone else in the same boat as us? We pass @sichuanhouseglasgow every day during our commute but we didn’t even know it was halal until a friend told us. What a nice delight that was and to @sichuanhouseglasgow we ran. The restaurant is decorated so beautifully and we loved the atmosphere. The restaurant is quite large so thankfully they were able to accommodate us without a booking! We got: To start we got prawn toast, vegetable spring rolls, salt and chilli chicken wings and salt and chilli chips. The starters were so tasty and fresh! We literally couldn’t fault any dish. The prawn toast was a favourite for sure. For mains we shared the Beef with Green Pepper and Black Bean Sauce as well as the Sichuan Style Crispy chicken. We got fried rice with this. The beef was so tender and flavoursome, it literally just melted in your mouth in an explosion of all things goodness. The chicken was also very tasty, crispy and coated in a very rich sauce. The portions were quite generous, and we love to over order, so safe to say we did take a fair bit to go 🤭 The staff were so nice and friendly, shoutout to Kenny, who informed us that we accidentally ordered pork spring rolls so he instantly brought us over the halal version. If only all servers at restaurants could be this thoughtful and observant! We had a really good experience and have already visited once again since our initial visit. Glasgow: Buongiorno [PR - Invite] Did we just discover the BEST hidden gem in Glasgow… YES! @buongiorno_gla kindly invited us along to their authentic Italian restaurant down Pollokshaws Road, Glasgow. Words cannot explain how happy we are to have tried and tested this place to confirm, yes it is one of the best HALAL Italians about. We got: Gamberoni: prawn pasta with a rich tomato sauce. For a while our favourite has been the Banco prawn linguine but this is really competing for first place, so creamy and tasty it just hit all the right spots. Mexicana Pasta: spicy chicken and mixed peppers in an arrabbiata sauce. Was one of our favourite chicken pastas we’ve tried period 😍 it’s so hard to find good pasta with flavoursome chicken and this ticked all the boxes. Hot’N’Spicy Pizza: spicy chicken and peppers, minus the sausage. Perfectly crispy, but soft and full of flavour. Everything you need to make the perfect pizza. Macaroni cheese: our little sister is a big mac n cheese lover and she approved. Saucy and cheesy! We also got a portion of homemade truffle chips on the side, this was topped with parmesan which is halal! A great side to our meal! The vibes in the restaurant were cosy with fairy lights. Glasgow: Heavenly Desserts [PR - Invite] Once again you find us back at @heavenlydesserts at Silverburn, they kindly invited us down to try out some of the new items on their menu and we couldn’t say no. As always we know that heavenly desserts is the perfect place to get your pretty desserts and the perfect shot for Instagram. We got: Bueno Crunch Croffle: a new Croffle on the menu which was a big win! We always love their croffles - perfectly soft and crispy. We did ask for more kinder sauce though as the amount that came with the dessert wasn’t enough for our chocolate loving selves. San Sebastián Cheesecake: this came with a serving of chocolate and berries on top. It was a nice change to the typical desserts you get everywhere, but we’ve bad better ones. The texture was not quite right - I think it needed to be baked longer. Berry French Toast: we love a good French toast, but it has to be chocolatey. So of course we added lots of chocolate to it. The bread was so fluffy and tasty - a very good French toast dessert. For drinks we got the Passion Fruit Mojito and Blood Orange Lemonade which were a nice addition to our sweet treats. We did unfortunately have a pretty negative interaction with the management there, as the Manager was bizarrely adamant to get us in their promotion shots. The manager clearly took offence to us saying no… he even had the cheek to ask us why we came if we didn’t want to be on camera 😂 we are food bloggers sir, we promote and give our honest opinions on the food we try. Apart from this, the other staff were very pleasant. I’m sure our partner foodie @servingsofglasgow will agree it was a weird experience. Let us know if you try out the items on the new menu. This was a key part missing in the Glasgow scene and now that it’s here, we’ve been visiting almost weekly 🙈 they kindly invited us down to their launch event which was a fun night filled with unlimited wings and entertainment! We got: Throughout the night the staff were circulating the shop with a range of their flavours in wings and boneless. Our long time favourites have to be the Garlic and Parmesan, Louisiana Rub, Brazilian Pepper and the Original. We also tried the Atomic Flavour which is not for the faint hearted 🥵 Paired with all the chicken you MUST try the ranch sauce, there must be some sort of magic in it because we could literally drink that sauce by the buckets. They have a range of different chips on offer but our fave has to be the Lemon and Pepper fries, they just go so perfectly with the boneless chicken and sauce. Glasgow: Amore [PR - Invite] @amoremerchantcity in Merchant City, Glasgow kindly invited us to try out some epic food from their vast menu. It’s a really nice restaurant to visit, as a great lunch spot or a fancy dinner to celebrate, Amore has you covered. We got: To drink we got the Frozen Strawberry and Peach Daquiri Mocktails. They were very tasty and refreshing, a great drink to start of the meal. Our favourite was the strawberry. Penne Dell’Amore: penne pasta with chicken, mushroom, broccoli, peas and red onion in a garlic cream sauce. This was a decent pasta however it didn’t have much of a kick which was disappointing. Prawn Linguine: This was very rich in taste and saucy, we love a good prawn pasta and this didn’t disappoint. Amore Pizza: a really tasty pizza with spicy chicken, red onions and mushrooms. This was beautiful with a nice layer of cheesy cheese and cooked to perfection with the perfect crisp to the crust. We also got a side of handcut potato wedges to share which were 11/10 (a good portion of chips can really elevate any meal). The staff were nice and friendly, a good experience overall. Have you ever had Curried Goat ??? My first post of 2024 had to be the amazing @turtlebayuk ! #Ad I had heard loads about Turtle Bay and I was so excited when I was asked to come and try some of their hospitality. I had tried Goat in Uganda when I was 17 but never since and I was buzzing when I saw it on their menu. For our food we chose: • Curried Goat • Caribbean chicken Katsu Curry • Cheesy Jerk fries (10/10) • Sweet plantain • Jerk Halloumi I have wanted to try plantain for the longest time and it was absolutely superb. Like a cross between a banana and a sweet potato I honestly loved it ! And I'm so glad I've ticked another food off my list. The Goat itself was so tender and moist and had such a kick to it ! I cannot recommend it enough if you're brave enough to try something different. The Cheesy Jerk fries are a must 😋 so full of flavour and with a cracking cheese pull, cannot complain 🤣 and who doesn't love halloumi 😍 I didn't try the katsu but I have it on good authority that it was delicous ! And such a nice take on a well-loved dish. The cocktails are amazing too, they are only £6 !!! How insane is that. The highlight for us was a coconut Espresso Martini which was TO DIE FOR. I definitely want to go back and try their famous Boozy Brunch 💕 Overall I would say this was one of the best overall invites we have been to. Glasgow: Thundercat [PR - Invite] We’re back to posting food content. We have a lot of backlog so these food spots date back to over 2 months ago. @thundercatpubdiner is the sister branch for our loved and favourite @bucks.bar. They kindly invited us down to try out their food and best of all the chicken is halal! The restaurant has the same easy going vibes as Bucks Bar with lots of seating. We got: Buttermilk Fried Chicken Sandwich: this was a very basic burger but still tasty, the chicken was juicy and very well portioned. We added some more sauce and Mac and cheese to it to spice it up a little! Southern Fried Tenders: These were really tasty and succulent and paired perfectly with the dips. Loaded Buffalo Chicken and Cheese Fries: these again were basic but nice and a great addition to the meal. Fiery Mac ‘N’ Cheese: this was a decent Mac n cheese however definitely not one of our faves, the consistency was a tad too thick and the cheese on top was cold. Salt ‘n’ Pepper Tater tots: these are definitely a sharer as the portion sizes are so big but was a lovely side with our meal. Overall, the food was tasty, but nothing wow. Good for a quick fried chicken burger. The service was really good, our waitress for the day was really attentive. She told us what the halal items on the menu were as well offering a little explanation as to what items are the best and what she recommends. Glasgow: Banco We love an Italian… but only when it’s done right, and @bancoglasgow defos know. The interior in this cute Italian is so pretty and cozy, perfect for an evening meal. We got: Linguine on the Rocks: a red sauce based pasta with prawns. From this dish we had to remove the wine, parmesan and chorizo. One of the tastiest pastas we’ve ever had, every bite is bursting with flavour. And in our opinion a prawn pasta actually hits better than chicken 🙈 This was our favourite dish and would go back again and again for it! Rigatoni Tex Mex: a red based sauce pasta again with chicken. From this pasta we also had to remove the parmesan and chorizo. This pasta was also tasty and saucy but it was lacking the little bit of a kick the prawn pasta fulfilled. Margarita Pizza: we went for the classic. This was a proper Italian pizza with a thin crusty base and flavoursome sauce. This was very tasty, highly recommend trying their pizzas. On the side we got Cajun fries which were seasoned very well and of course complimented our meal perfectly. The staff were very friendly and the service was prompt and efficient. Glasgow: Lotus Lotus is located on 315 Great Western Road, Glasgow owned by a Muslim Syrian family. They provide authentic Syrian and Lebanese food! We love to support family run businesses because you know the food will be good! We got: Lentil Soup: Complimentary soup at the start of our meal, which was nice and cosy after walking through stormy Glasgow. Shawarma Hummus: this was so fresh and tasty, one of the best hummus ever topped with lamb and chicken shawarma. We could eat endless amounts 😍 Lotus Special Mixed Grill: a large variety of meat with flatbread and a side of rice. Looking for some of the best fried chicken from a fast food spot, look no further. It’s in a bit of a random area in ggow but it’s worth the drive, operating through sit ins and drivethru. We got: Deluxe Spicy Chicken Sandwich: this definitely exceeded our expectations. The chicken was crisp and juicy, there was more sauce than the eye made it seem, the salad was fresh. A very tasty and quick fried chicken burger indeed. We got Cajun fries with our meal which were seasoned nicely, a perfect add on to the meal. Spicy Tenders and Hot Wings: the chicken was very tasty and best of all it wasn’t dripping in oil. It had a nice spicy kick to it - we got the hot flavour. Dipped into the wide range of sauce choices they have, they really are quite something. Our fave sauces were the Garlic Mayo and the Red Hot Honey… but there’s so many more we need to try. We also got a pot of the famous gravy but that wasn’t to our liking unfortunately. Glasgow: Bucks Bar [PR - Invite] OGs will know our first ever post was none other than BUCKS BAR. From the good old days to the present we are loyal fans of @bucks.bar and still believe they do some of the bestttt fried chicken burgers. When they kindly invited us, of course we couldn’t deny… who can say no to fried chicken burgers 🤭 We got: Whatever burger you got: the chicken was so juicy and flavoursome paired with sauces and salad. One thing bucks bar always excel in is their portion sizes… it’s definitely not for the weak hearted. Flaming Mac ‘n’ Cheesed Chicken Waffles: as we’ve never had chicken and waffles before we thought it would be fun to try something different, and it defos didn’t disappoint. We love an extra kick to our food so of course we got the spicy one with Mac n cheese loaded onto it. The combination of the juicy chicken, mac n cheese and waffles was so good, our taste buds were tingling. Chinatown wings: these were tasty salt and chilli wings and a nice side to our meal. Crisp Chicken Popcorn: we looooved these, with a side of garlic sauce and an addition of salt and chilli, they were literal perfection. For mocktails we got the Twister and Mango Passion, some of the best mocktails we’ve tried and they complimented our meals very well. The twister was also a very cool and refreshing addition! Yes this is another holiday burger appreciation post. Glasgow: Phillys [PR - Invite] We visited a recently opened spot @phillysteaksnshakes at St Enoch Centre, Glasgow. It’s one of the restaurants right next to the Vue cinema. The vibes of the place are very chill, it’s giving American diner 🙈 We got: Grilled Mushroom and Swiss Beef Burger: their beef is 100% freshly made and was seasoned well. However we did find it slightly dry and prefer smashed beef burgers. Hot Crunch Chicken Burger: The chicken was seasoned very well, and all the toppings went so well together! We LOVED this one. Mac & Cajun Chicken: A very tasty Mac & Cheese, our new obsession with it was really being satisfied. Steak Fries: The shredded steak topped on the fries was really tasty and juicy. For dessert we chose the Fully Loaded Churros and White and Milk Chocolate Cookie Dough. Each churro was decorated with different toppings which was fun, the churros were nice and crisp. The cookie dough was really chocolately and gooey… everything we love in a cookie dough. We recommend you guys visit and support this family owned business. Glasgow: Heavenly Desserts [PR - Invite] A well-known and loved dessert branch @heavenlydesserts kindly invited us down to try out their best treats. This branch is along Sauchiehall Street, Glasgow amidst all the hustle and bustle of the city centre. As always the decor and interior of the dessert parlor is impeccable, you won’t find a spot there that isn’t perfect for an Instagram shot. As we’ve been a few times, we wanted to try something a little different to switch it up (along with our long time favourite). We got: Grow Up: a cheesecake pot which usually comes with Oreo crumbs but due to shortage they replaced with biscotti crumbs. This was really different and a unique twist on a cheesecake. The presentation was 10/10 and the different layers of the dessert went so well together. Biscoff and White Chocolate Croffle: this is one of our favourites which we love to get. The pastry of the croffle is always so soft and buttery, paired with the combination of biscoff and white chocolate just makes it perfection. We tried the Espresso Crème Martini, a perfect drink for those who love a Mocktail but want a little coffee twist. We loved the bitter coffee taste paired with the really sweet Grow Up. 🌟 @foodiesfestival 2023 🌟 #AD We were very kindly invited to attend Glasgow's Foodies Festival at Rouken Glen Park and we had a fabulous day ! Even Pablo was a VIP for the day! We had prosecco, Salt and chilli chicken and cookie pies and got to watch Scouting For Girls play [childhood dream unlocked]. Plus see @chefjimmylee cook up a storm in the chef's tent. There were loads of vendors we wished we could have tried but sadly with Pablo it wasn't so easy. However there were loads of dogs so we made lots of new friends. We still had an absolute ball but had to put an emergency call into @eileenraffertywelsh7 to bring us home because we were so mucky 🤣 Overall it was a brilliant day, amazing food, fabulous music and I cannot recommend it enough as a brilliant day out! Glasgow: August House [PR - Invite] @augusthouseglasgow house is a restaurant in the City Centre of Glasgow where all the hustle and bustle lives. @gostglasgow kindly invited us down to their sister branch to check it out! They serve halal chicken! 😍😱 and offer a range of mocktails which we loved! The interior is cool and chic. The atmosphere in the restaurant was really lively. We got: From the starts we got Korean Bao Chicken, Chicken Curry Spring Roll, Korean Fried Chicken, and Fried Veg Gyoza. We also got a side of Mac and Cheese. We were impressed with the starters but the STAR of the show was definitely the Mac and Cheese, hands down the best we have ever had. The Korean Fried Chicken is also a must try on their menu, it was really flavoursome and juicy. The bao buns were soft and fluffy, a perfect starter. Gyozas were so fresh, beautiful with the soy sauce. From the mains we got the Salt and Chilli Chicken Burger: this was way too basic in our opinion as you can see from the picture. Although the chicken was tasty, we love a burger with lots of sauce and toppings which it lacked. To spruce it up a little bit we added some Mac and Cheese into it which made it 🔥 For drink we got the mango frozen daiquiri and pineapple soft star martini. We absolutely loved both of them! The food was really enjoyable but a downside for us was how loud it was. This didn’t suit our preference. We visited in the evening so next time would visit in the afternoon for a more calmer experience and to try out their brunch menu. The staff were really friendly and accommodating. Glasgow: Loop and Scoop [PR - Invite] Newest hot spot in Victoria Road, Glasgow. Looking for your churro fix…then @loopandscoop is the one! They kindly invited us down for a visit and we were so impressed. @loopandscoop are the first ice cream and churro bar in the UK and this is their third branch now opened in Glasgow! We got: Dipping Churros: this came with a dip and a scoop of ice cream. We of course went for the Belgian tap and white chocolate. The portion size is nice and generous, they are great to share or indulge yourself! The churros have a perfect crunch and sweetness to them. The Loop and Scoop: a large churro coated in belgian chocolate and biscotti crumbs served with two scoops of ice cream of your choice. This is the perfect dessert for an epic Instagram shot and the fact it’s 10/10 in taste just makes it 🔥. The interior and decoration is really pretty and instagrammable. Great location, which means it can be quite busy but service was still really quick. Big shout out to Shauna, she was so warm and welcoming and really made our whole experience more special. Glasgow: Efes Looking for one of the best spots for Turkish food in Glasgow… look no further. @turkiyeefesglasgow in Merchant City will fulfil all your cravings and more. We got: Türkiye 1 (a mixed grill for 2 people): A wide variety of meat topped on a bed of rice with salad and sauces. The meat was so succulent, flavoursome and juicy, it was literal PERFECTION. For sides we got hummus, chips, halloumi, sucuk and bread. This was an amazing addition… no Turkish meal is complete without a big serving of hummus really. As a true foodie you know that checking the menu before visiting is a must so we already knew what we wanted! We got: Jalapeño Mac & Cheese Poppers, Salt & Chilli Chicken Loaded Fries and Buffalo Chicken Bites from the 3 for £17 section. These were amazing sides to the pizzas and made the meal even more epic. And it’s also very good value for money as you can choose from quite a varied list of things. For pizzas we got the Salt & Chilli Chicken, Calm Down… Here’s the Margherita and the Fire Roasted Pepper & Black Garlic. These were very tasty pizzas and we were definitely really impressed at how much we truly enjoyed. The one Fire Roasted Pepper & Black Garlic was 🔥 we absolutely LOVED! The Salt & Chilli Chicken one was a pretty unique take on pizzas, not a classic but tasty nonetheless. That pizza did get quite soggy though - an aspect which we didnt enjoy as much. For mocktails we got the virgin espresso martini and strawberry delight. The former was not to our tasting palette but the latter was enjoyable. Glasgow: Locos [PR - Invite] It’s about time we tried this spot!! We’ve been meaning to try Loco’s Burgers @locosburgers for the longest time but as it’s a takeaway so we were waiting for the perfect sunny day and enjoy it as a picnic. They kindly invited us down to try out their menu and spoiler, it did not disappoint. We got: Treble smashed burger: the beef was so juicy and rich in flavour. A perfect smash patty burger indeed! Green chilli buffalo: the chicken was really succulent and tasty. The combination of flavours was perfect. Loaded beef fries: the loaded fries were a winner for sure, covered in lots of sauce and meat… what more could you ask for 😍 House buffalo fried wings: we love a side of wings. The flavour, spice, crisp was all just beautiful. Kinder bueno shake: their milkshake had a really good taste to it but wasnt thick enough for us so fell short in the consistency. We loved the fact that Glasgow Green was literally less than a 5 minute walk from there which meant the food was still piping hot by the time we set up our picnic. The food was epic, this is defos a new fave burger spot in Glasgow for us! We will be back again asap to try more items from their menu! A couple of weeks ago I was very kindly gifted some delicious meal prep from @prep.to.plate [Ad/Gifted] I was gifted a number of meals, all under 600 calories each and with amazing macros including high protein and tasty fakeaway options ! Pictured : Salt and chilli pulled brisket Chicken curry and rice Beany breakfast with vegan chorizo Lentil bolognese Chicken korma and boiled rice The majority of my experience was great ! My only complaint is that the heating instructions need to be clearer. Some of the dishes had cooking times on them and some didn't. But this is easily improved upon... My favourite dish was definitely the salt and chilli beef - absolutely delicious! Just like a takeaway. I would 1000% order this again. In the interests of transparency the breakfast was my least favourite. The vegan chorizo had bit of an aftertaste, the potato rosti type thing was so stringy and overall the dish was really lacking in flavour. However I'm aware this was my personal taste and someone else might love it ! Overall it was a really good experience of meal prep and with a menu that changes every week they are definitely worth checking out! Especially for work it was perfect for me to eat healthily but with minimal preparation. I will definitely be looking into meal prep again in the future. Glasgow: Bing Bang Bosh [PR - Invite] Glasgow’s newest Korean fast food spot is officially open with the coolest name! They kindly invited us to try it out, @bingbangboshuk is in city centre near Central Station. They offer seating indoor and outdoors, perfect for this sunny weather we’ve been getting. We got: Katsu Cup: panko breaded chicken with veg and rice. A basic take on katsu curry but still tasty. B Cup: Korean style BBQ beef with veg and rice. Yum Yum Cup: Korean style BBQ chicken with veg and rice. Bulgogi loaded fries: which included the Korean BBQ beef. The dishes were all decent however we love spice in our food which it was lacking (but this tends to be the case with Korean cuisine). The flavours of the dishes were a really good take on Korean. For sides we got the Mandoo, Cucumber Kimchi, Tteok-Bokki and fried chicken. We were really excited to try the Tteok-Bokki, which is fried rice cakes with sweet and spicy sauce. The texture was really unique and suits an acquired taste. We thought it was okay - a little bit strange. The other sides were tasty and complimented the meal well. We were really impressed with how speedy the service was, as well as the food being hot and fresh. Glasgow: Fat Hippo @fathippofood is one of our fave fried chicken burger spots and nothing beats it. The first time we tried it was in Edinburgh but they have now opened a restaurant in Glasgow since our previous review. We got: Great white buffalo (without the bacon) and Kula Shaker. The chicken is so juicy and succulent. The burgers are always bursting with sauce and all the best toppings. It really is a 🔥 fried chicken burger. Glasgow: Chickaros [PR - Invite] @chickaros.uk @helloglasgow_ is a fairly new resturant along the very well known Victoria Road, Glasgow. They kindly invited us down to try out their dishes, this is the first Chickaros in Scotland however there is a few branches spread out down South. The interior and decor is super cool and very instagrammable, they also have a little surprise that comes with your food which makes it a more special. We got: To start we got the Dynamite King Prawns and Chicka Bao Buns. These were both tasty and a nice way to start of our meals. We also got the Strawberry Martini and Mango Martini, these were both so refreshing and a perfect addition to the meal. For mains we got Loaded Parmesan and Philli Cheese Steak Burger. Sadly, in our opinion, the mains fell quite short in hitting the right spot. The burger was basic and nothing stood out as wow. The quality of the beef was not to our standard. The loaded Parmesan didn’t meet expectations either. The rice was hard and the overall flavours of the dish didn’t blend very well together. Individually the stir fried donner and chicken were okay, but the garnishing wasn’t quite right. Their menu is large with a good variety of options. The dishes they offer are definitely unique with a mix of different flavours which are more desi style. Personally it didnt suit our taste palette but that is just our preference. 📍 Café Milano, Glasgow 📍 If you work in the city centre then I've found your new lunch spot ! Located underneath Gôst on Bothwell Lane, this little cafe does the nicest selection of lunch dishes at some of the best prices I've seen in Glasgow!! We were very kindly invited down for lunch on Friday and we definitely over-ordered! You can get soup and a baguette for just £6. The pizza was only £3 for a Margarita and 50p for each extra topping. [I would mention this definitely wasn't the best pizza ever but for the price it was brilliant! It would be perfect for kids]. We chose honey chilli chicken and peri peri chicken for our fillings and tomato and basil and minestrone soup for our soup options. These were all delicious and so filling 😋 We also ordered a chicken and Italian sausage pasta to try but ended up taking the whole thing home in a doggy bag 😂 I have it on the good authority of my nephew that it was "super tasty". We literally made sushi at home, FINALLY! We have been saying this for ages but ever since buying the viral TikTok sushi plunger (what is it even called? Lmao I’m sure you’ve seen it) it has never been easier. It also helps that @morrisons stocks everything you need in the World Foods aisle at the oriental section @yutakaeats from sushi rice to pickled ginger and everything in between. Our fillings were smoked salmon, avocado, crab stick and cucumber. Cannae go wrong! Also helped that you don’t need to cook any of these ingredients except the rice but that was super straight forward and instructions on the box. We did buy some panko breadcrumbs to try some cooked stuff next time. Safe to say we will definitely be making this again 🤤🍱

📍 Göst, Glasgow 📍 Last week me and @chloemclelland98 had a mate date @gostglasgow to try their new express lunch menu. I had been to Göst previously and was blown away by the food and the service and once again I couldn't fault a thing. The express lunch menu is small but when I saw a steak sandwich I was absolutely hooked ! It's £12.50 for one course or £16.50 for two courses. For a starter we both chose the Jamòn croquetas and they were a 10/10. For my main I chose the steak sandwich, medium rare and Chloe chose the Mac n cheese. The steak was cooked perfectly and the bread had been brushed with garlic and was so crispy and delicous ! The mac n cheese got top marks too 🤣 Everything was superb down to the drinks and for 2 drinks each and 2 courses it cost me just under £60 which while expensive for a lunch I suppose was well worth it for the amazing quality. I cannot recommend Göst enough !!
