HOW & WHY I STARTED BLOGGING? Back in 2017, I had no clue what blogging is & what bloggers do but used to hear about them very often. So to find out how this works, I decided to jump into it & figure it out by experiencing it myself & as time passed by, I grew into it by learning a lot and kept trying to improve myself every day by learning something new. WHAT BLOGGING GAVE ME? When I started, I had zero skills & no idea about the following Content Writing, Photography, Videography, Editing, Content Creation & Confidence to face the camera. I only had the socializing skill and due to that, I got in touch with good people who guided me & helped me throughout my journey. Along the way I realized that I have an interest in Photography & Videography, I somehow gained the confidence to face the camera (though some of the fear is still there), I also figured out how to write (thanks to some of my friends who acted as my teacher) & even learned to edit pictures & videos. When I started I had no idea where it would lead me but looking at what I have gotten from it, I think I made the right decision. Whatta Burger Jee. I found these unique burgers & buns near the Alamgir Hotel Bahadurabad. The eatery is called @bunnbbq . They have two different styles, street style & bao style. In Bao Style, the bun is filled with the flavor of your choice and sealed using the machine. You can see a picture of the final result. The filling was creamika, which was flavorful (not spicy at all), the buns were soft and fresh, and the meat-to-bun ratio was perfect. Street Style: Spicy Thai Hot was our choice for this one & it did not disappoint. The buns are converted into a bowl and toasted, then filled with flavored chicken of your choice & sauces. Looks great but the handling is a bit messy/complicated. How can we end a meal without dessert :) We also ordered their sweet stuffed buns. Nutella with crunch & Belgian chocolate. It was a different experience. Never had these in Karachi before. Anything sweet is always good, but we believe peanuts would elevate the flavors even further. The food was quite justifying in terms of taste, presentation & most importantly the price. The serving of the omelet was satisfying. It was generously stuffed, which I really liked, & the sides complimented the overall flavors. Broth had the right amount of spice& flavours & their dipping sauce was the real game changer & really elevated the whole experience. As these two ingredients are the main Shaolin made sure to deliver it right. Another good thing about this place is that beside Hotpot( if you dont have plans to cook your food), you can also order other dishes like Prawn on Toast (MUST TRY), Prawn Tempura, Spicy Garlic Cucumber (STARTER), Shaolin Beef With Chillies & Sichuan Spicy Crabs. We ordered: Fettuccini Alfredo 2 Lasagna Cheesy Mushroom Fries The ambience looked good and staff well trained. Order came on time but a bit cold. The taste was different than the Karachi (DHA) branch. We all left atleast half or quarter of each plate that means it was over loaded (than needed) with cheese. Everything tasted similar as well. This box of Hummus costed us around 3300rs with delivery & it included three different types of Hummus (Basic, Garlic & Chicken), a box full of fresh vegetables & 2 different types of bread to dig into this. It's one of those SUNDAYS. I hardly get time for breakfast on weekdays, so I try to get my hands on it on Sundays. Usually, I prefer going for desi, but there are days when I crave some fancy English breakfast & this time it was at @jardinkarachi First Impression: A perfect place to lift my mood & enjoy my food. Great work done on the interior & ambiance was MUAAAAH. Large windows with natural light coming in & a touch of nature made it one lively place. The Food: They know how to make food look good & instagrammable. Excellent work done on the presentation of the food & not only it looked good but it tasted equally good. Ordered Silky Omelette & Steak On Egg & they were loved at the first bite & the love kept growing with every bite. Everything about it was perfect. The silky smooth texture of the egg, steak with the right temperature & the combination of the flavors were delightful with exceptional presentation. So last week, we decided to treat ourselves with @koffiechalet Brunch cuz SUNDAY KO JUB AANKH KHULTI HAI TUB TUK BREAKFAST KA TIME KHATAM HOCHUKA HOTA HAI ..hahaha Koffie Chalet offers brunch at Rs 1295+tax only on Sundays from 1 pm to 4 pm. Perfecting timings for us at least & looking at the variety & taste of dishes we think it was reasonable (you can check out the menu in the last picture). Appreciate how everything was managed. The dishes were full all the time (though it was a full house), the team made sure to cater to all their guests nicely & they leave with a smile. Every customer was treated like an important one, especially MR ALLEN. That guy is a gem of a host. He knows how to handle & cater to customers rightly. Loved his energy during his service time, smiling, greeting & making sure every customer was treated like a VIP. Such employees should be appreciated. His attitude showed that he loves his work, his sincerity in his profession & loyalty to the restaurant. We appreciated him in front of his whole team & made sure that the owner knows about his great efforts. Not many people would notice this but I request that you should notice workers & their efforts & make sure you appreciate them on your face. This not only will make them happy but also encourage them to deliver the best & love what they are doing. We chose this print to be posted on our office wall to use as wallpaper. A few days after pasting it, while staring at it, I just got an idea that how about making a Kurta or a Shirt out of it & finally opted for KURTA. I were so fascinated by the idea that dint realize that this material can be worn in winter only (which I realized it once I got the finished product). I went to our dear friend @humayunalamgir , one of the best male designer, cuz I trust his sense of style & perfection to make this thing look good on me, gave my measurements & waited till it was delivered. Once it was there, I was not sure whether to wear it or just keep it in our collection cuz it was not an easy thing to pull this off due to the print, so kept it in our closet for months till Karachi Eat announced. This was the perfect time to showcase this masterpiece. Initially, I thought it might look weird but to my surprise, it attracted a lot of attention & people appreciated it which boosted my confidence to try something different next time too. THE BOBA EXPERIENCE. Have been hearing about this BOBA Drink by @themalt.pk for quite some time so finally tried it. The term "boba" is used interchangeably to refer to the tapioca pearls at the bottom of the drink and to the drink itself. Traditional bubble tea is often made by layering the prepared boba, then pouring in black or green tea that has been made creamy with milk, sweetened condensed milk, or some type of cream. I opted for PASSION FRUIT flavor for my drink which I guess was the right decision. It hit the right sweet & citrusy notes, and the tapioca pearls were a good addition. AIK LAMBI LONG DRIVE... Always looking for reasons to go on long drives & this time it was due to @jashanbyginsoy in Bahria Town. After one and a half-hour drive, we finally reached there & the first look of it made this long drive worth it. Loved how beautifully they decorated this place. It was filled with bright & happy colours with a lively vibe. They have indoor & outdoor dining options & DONO OPTIONS KA APNA HE MAZA HAI. Be it the lights or the colours combinations everything was complementing the restaurant. Hats off to Jashan for an awesome interior job.
