I am forever changed. I’m guessing the dust has finally settled on that 2.4 mile desert course now, but my mind and heart are still positively racing. I’m in awe and it’s been hard to find the words to describe what an honour it was to witness my friends do what most of the world would deem unthinkable. Partly because of the challenge itself, but mostly because they are women. Though this trail of thought is a sad fact, the details are a lie. When women are given what we need, we-do-what-we-do even bigger, better and badder than before. I watched my 10 sisters over 6 days and nights keep it movin’, with grace, community, humility and authenticity. Through laughter and tears, highs and lulls, they shook the very foundations that some of ya’ll notions are built on and with the help of our dear friends at @lululemon made HERstory and we hope to build a different future of women in sport. There’s nothing to see here but glory, joy, pride, success, camaraderie, love, history and some world records being broken. Being a woman might not be easy, but women continue to shine, thrive and conquer. We truly are divine! A deep cellular thank you to all of you for saying yes to going FURTHER, you did the the damn ting and we all felt it.
