The Megali Grava Cave (otherwise known as Ano Grava or Peristerograva) is near the village of Loutses, in Corfu, at an altitude of approximately 478 metres. It is the largest of the known – to date – caves on Corfu. Its grand entrance has a height of approximately 15 metres and a width of approximately 60 metres. Once you enter, the main hall stretches out before you, covering an area of 100x70m, with a maximum height of 60 metres. Between the entrance and the main hall, on the left, there are two corridors of approximately 20x3m and a height of 3m. The ceiling of the main chamber forms an impressive dome with a plain, arch-like formation that leaves all visitors in awe. Visitors are not allowed to enter the cave due to the instability of the rocky masses and the slippery ground. Η σπηλιά Μεγάλη Γράβα (ή Άνω Γράβα ή Περιστερόγραβα) βρίσκεται κοντά στο χωριό Λούτσες, στην Κέρκυρα, σε υψόμετρο 478 περίπου μέτρων. Είναι το μεγαλύτερο από τα, μέχρι σήμερα, γνωστά σπήλαια στην Κέρκυρα. Η μεγαλοπρεπής είσοδός του έχει ύψος περίπου 15 μέτρα και πλάτος περίπου 60 μέτρα. Περνώντας την είσοδο, ανοίγεται η κύρια αίθουσα, διαστάσεων περίπου 100x70 μ. και μέγιστου ύψους 60 μέτρων. Μεταξύ της εισόδου και της κύριας αίθουσας, στα αριστερά, βρίσκονται δύο διάδρομοι διαστάσεων περίπου 20x3 μ. και 3 μ. ύψος. Η οροφή του κυρίως θαλάμου σχηματίζει εντυπωσιακό θόλο με λιτή, τοξοειδή ανάπτυξη που προκαλεί δέος στον επισκέπτη. The new Strive vests from @silvaglobal are finally here. I’ve tested them rigorously and can confirm, they know how to make a running vest. 2 things that I look for most when choosing the thing I’ll store all my bits in, - Comfort - Usability I’ve worn vests that have rubbed on my collar bones or bounce so much I have actually resorted to throwing away the water bottle. I’ve worn vests where I can’t get to the stuff on the back without having to stop and take it off. Also, clips! It’s amazing how important this is. Silva have developed a super easy, simple and effective way to clip the vest on and off. The material is stretchy but just enough and the space it has is unquestionably the best. I recently ran a 100km race with the biggest version of the Strive vest and carried more kit than I ever have before. I was quite shocked how easy it was. The most comfortable vest and when I wear the smallest version I often don’t take it off when back at the car to drive home. It’s like an extra layer with absolutely no obtrusive or annoying materials. Best of all, @silvaglobal have some serious climate commitments and are making big waves in that area. They are committed to this as well as the kit not being overly expensive. Sometimes I see how expensive it is to be a trail runner these days and I wonder if I would have started taking it up if today was my first day trying it.
