June Lake Jam Fest began with the desire to raise needed funds for the Mono Arts Council (MAC), which provides arts education and advocacy programs for local youth. Nine years later, Jam Fest continues to provide a rich musical event to Mono County for visitors and locals alike with a unique festival experience that is focused on the celebration of closeness and community. Funds raised by Jam Fest now support the good work of June Lake Arts and its mission to provide cultural enrichment and to support the creative arts in Mono County. Just like the saying, โit takes a villageโ, it takes a special team of individuals to make the magic happen at Jam Fest. On this #MagicMakerMonday, we are grateful for team member Tanya Ellis. Tanya, a talented musician herself, has performed at Jam Fest six times and at five school assemblies. Besides sharing her musical talent, she is a member of our non-profit leadership team. Her official title is Executive Assistant to June Lake Arts Executive Director Janet Hunt. This year round volunteer work utilizes many of Tanyaโs creative talents. Like many Magic Makers on our team, she wears multiple hats which include Vendor Coordinator and Band Liaison. Needless to say, her contributions to Jam Fest and June Lake Arts are essential to our success. Thank you Tanya, how blessed we are to have your heartfelt support!
