You might have seen the timelapse from this spot in my previous post. This is the panorama I captured once I finished that timelapse. It was a race against quickly changing light as the moon was about to rise over the peak and it was dawn and the stars were quickly being taken over by the pre sunrise. It’s a challenging time to photograph, and I always suggest people bracket (take multiple exposures) their photos during dusk and dawn because the light changes so quickly. Unfortunately there isn’t enough time for that when having to rapid fire a multi frame panorama before the light changes. Convict Lake in its still perfectly reflecting beauty. Throwback to this specimen out of Silver Lake in June of 2020. A fat hen that is about as flawless of a specimen one could ask for. Obviously, catch-and-release is crucial for the future of these fisheries, especially for Browns.
