While trekking around the Corlieu Falls, there were hundreds of these little Spring Azure butterflies, flying around and landing. In flight, I was struggling to capture a decent shot of one. Landed, they fold their wings up and you are unable to see the beautiful blue color of their wings. After a little patience, this little one let me have a quick peak while it sat still on a branch. It was pretty incredible to see all of them, with almost no particular direction, just flapping around each other. Even though a twig found its way between us, I still liked the way it turned out. Moon rising over the Altamont Pass wind farm last night. Despite the cloudy sky, the Moon broke through the heavy clouds and briefly appeared before clouds tucked it into the blanket of clouds again. It was a crazy moon chase yesterday. My friend and I started from Golden Gate Bridge hoping sky will be cleared soon. Good thing we made a turn and decided to drive an hour to Livermore for this shot. The cloud coverage was a bit better than San Francisco.
