Mindset Monday : ‘Push yourself because nobody else is going to do it for you.’ I have to push myself constantly. I also talk to myself a lot. No I am not crazy(well you can decide that for yourself;) But let’s face it , We all talk to ourselves the whole day. We probably talk to ourselves more than to anyone else. It’s starts in the morning when we wake up ‘god I feel tired’ or ‘let’s snooze a bit more’ ‘He sure snores a lot.’ I don’t know how to get through this day ‘ What you say to yourself can work for you or against you. Getting older I see how little time we actually have. Life goes by in a blink. I see how I wasted a lot of time on things that didn’t contribute in a positive way. Doing the things that you want to do (and are often scary) or accomplishing something, gives enormous joy and fulfillment and contributes to your self worth. Yes you’re going to meet resistance daily, from other people but mostly from yourself. We all want to stay in our comfort zone. But as Neal Donald Walsh said : ‘Life begins at the end of your comfort zone.’ Getting out of your comfort zone takes some effort but the way I experienced it, it’s s soooo worth it. I do know the struggle,I sometimes don’t feel like getting up or go for a workout and I absolutely don’t like making phone calls. I often think in the morning …Yes I made it, I am showered and dressed again.🥳 I’ve also learned , If you wait till you feel like it , you probably can wait for a long time. So…Push yourself to make that phone call.. Push yourself to do that push up…Push yourself to have that talk… Push yourself to ask that question…Cause nobody is going to do it for you. Count backwards if you must 5-4-3~2-1 and take action. I use counting backwards all the time, it’s Mel Robbins 5 second rule …You might want to look her up. Her Ted talk about the 5 second rule and how to stop screwing yourself over, has more than 25 million views. Definitely worth watching. And remember this : Yes you might have to do it yourself, but you don’t have to do it alone. One of the coolest things I did in the Netherlands was taking a sunset photography course in tulip fields with @nick_skeyes and @ewout.pahud. Even after the tough tulip season we had this year, we got some awesome tips and had a great time. Highly recommend!

🇩🇪🇦🇹 #ThrowbackThursday zu einem herausfordernden Spartan Trifecta Weekend in Gubbio, Italien! Christian (@chris_z_84), Joachim und Carsten (@ocrcarsten) stellten sich am Samstag erst dem Beast, der bei kühlem Wetter mit gelegentlichem Regen über 22 km mit 1.400 Höhenmetern führte. Anschließend ging es noch auf die Sprint-Runde über 5 km mit freundlichen 500 Höhenmetern. Am Sonntag stand noch der Super auf dem Programm, der über 13,5 km mit etwa 700 Höhenmetern führte - dazu kam sogar die Sonne hinter den Wolken hervor! Damit war dann die Trifecta im Kasten - für Christian die zweite in diesem Jahr, für Carsten bereits die dritte. Insgesamt war es definitiv kein leichtes Event - wir gratulieren unseren drei Finishern! 🇺🇸🇬🇧 #ThrowbackThursday to a challenging Spartan Trifecta Weekend in Gubbio, Italy! Christian, Joachim and Carsten first took on the Beast on Saturday, which led over 22 km with 1,400 metres of elevation gain in cool weather with occasional rain. Afterwards, they took on the 5 km Sprint circuit with a friendly 500 metres of elevation gain. On Sunday, the Super was still on the programme, covering 13.5 km with around 700 metres of elevationm gain - and the sun even came out from behind the clouds! With this, the Trifecta was complete - Christian’s second this year and Carsten’s third. Just imagine this bridge with a scarlet steam train rolling across it. And maybe with a blue Ford Angelica flying alongside? It was a couple of hours out of our way to visit the Glenfinnan Viaduct and it was so worth it. Hot tip: the hiking gorgeous in the hills around the viaduct, but either plan for the summer months-or come bearing rubber boots!

💫 Mit diesen beiden Bildern beende ich meine 1. #iic vorzeitig. Diesen Polster werd ich mein Leben lang nicht mehr waschen. Davor hab ich pingelig wie ich bin, alle 2 Wochen alle Bezüge gewaschen weil Hundepopsch, lalala. Shivi und ihr Polsterparadies, keinen Platz mochte sie lieber. Ich hatte in Gedanken schon Bildideen zum Thema #comfortzone, auch zu den anderen Themen, teilweise sogar abfotografiert aber in Wahrheit hats mich ganz schön aus meiner Comfortzone gerissen. Die verbind ich gar nicht so mit Dingen, sondern mit Gefühlszuständen, drum heißts ja auch so schön „Life begins at the end of your comfort zone“. Es ist tatsächlich eine Art Neubeginn weil wir uns in Vielem wieder umgewöhnen müssen und Shivis Tod hat definitiv eine neue Zeitrechnung eingeläutet. Meine Comfortzonen sind also ganz einfacher Natur, dieser Polster z.B. steht da grad ganz oben auf der Liste. Danach noch meine Hände in Katzenfell vergraben und meinen Kopf auf die Brust meines Mannes legen und seinem Herzschlag lauschen, mehr brauchts dzt. nicht um mich glücklich zu machen. Es hat mich sehr gefreut durch die #instagraminteriorchallenge auf einige tolle Accounts und liebe Menschen dahinter getroffen zu sein, vielleicht bis zum nächsten Mal. Gestern sind wir zum @mammutmarsch Duisburg angetreten und auf der neuen 42km Stecke in die Saison gestartet. Mit dabei war außer mein Ballerbruder @berti_unterwegs auch meine Frau @noodles0911, für die es darum ging ihre Grenzen zu sprengen. Und das hat sie mit Bravur geschafft, denn 6km vor dem Ziel ging es ihr garnicht gut. Aber sie hat die Eier(stöcke) auf den Tisch geklatscht und die letzten Kräfte mobilisiert um im Ziel einzulaufen und die Medaille mit nach Hause zu nehmen. Ich bin sooooooo stolz auf dich du Maschine!!!😘 Nächsten Monat geht es dann für mich weiter in Berlin mit dem 100km Mammutmarsch. I had a personal dip last night at the pond and the water temperature is so good at the moment. It still has a little bite as you enter but the is warm enough for longer swims. My New Years resolution was if it scares you or makes you uncomfortable then do it. I became a “Yes man” to all challenges in life that were out of my comfort zone. Having faith and trusting God is a struggle. When I found faith again my eyes became more clear. My first challenge… I googled salons near me…why? Cause I was scared and too comfortable where I was at. I no longer grew because there is no growth in comfort. God made that very clear to me. I saw 2ten salon and thought this place is beautiful and so are the talented stylists. I’m not going to fit in. I doubted myself but still put in the application anyways. I went in for an interview and got the job. During the process of moving to my new establishment I had doubters in my ear. “If this doesn’t workout you can come back” “This sounds sketchy I’m just looking out for you” “You don’t have the clientele to make it”. I prayed if this isn’t where I need to be and I made a mistake God please just hit me with a lightening bolt.😂 My first month I made tripled the amount of money compared to where I once was. My amazing boss @ashleybryanstylist opened up her arms to me. Not only do I feel safe but I’m challenged every day. I grow every day. I have clientele and some days my books are so full I can’t take anyone. My husband and I were able to buy a house!
