A recent survey by CCLG0 found that almost all parents felt overwhelmed and a sense of grief at the loss of 'normal' family life. Issues raised by the survey include how cancer has affected families' ways of life and the difficulty in coping with stress and anxiety. Over half of the respondents said they were given no information or help on how to cope with emotional distress and shock at diagnosis. With that said supporting organizations such as LivFree and seeing how these donations impact families dealing with childhood cancer right here in CT is heartwarming and inspiring. An inspiring message from Courtney Bragg, LivFree’s Chief Joy Officer: On behalf of the LivFree team, as well as the families we serve, we would like to thank you and the entire Petit Family Foundation team for your support in 2023. We had an incredible year and were able to serve 107 families fighting pediatric cancer. We couldn't do what we do without the support of organizations like yours.
