Development of my macro I call Phoenix. This is a seed grown specimen, that I originally obtained a couple of years ago. It was germinated in 2018 The specimen was about a year ago eaten to the point of near death by a slug that somehow made its way into my original seedling dome. This was during my cancer treatments when I was not home. After that it had stem rot. Which left it nothing but a stick that was dying with a very small growth. Afterwards I had to top it in hopes to save what healthy tissue remained and I've been regrowing it since. The name Phoenix refers to a mythological bird that regrows from its own ashes, which I thought was appropriate for this small specimen. Picture one is what it looked like before slug, picture two was after the slug attack of it regenerating new leaves when its entire growth was eaten. Picture three is after I topped it because the stem below had rotted away, and it's been 2 months since then and it's been regrowing quite well. I have two other macros in my care, aw T largest and another is BCP both clones bcp being the youngest I've posted this to answer someone's inquiry about the history of the specimen #macrophylla #carnivourousplants #nepenthes
