A special piece 🧩 of @runDisney Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend 2024 🤍 • I secured my half marathon bib for Marathon Weekend 2024 through @autismspeaks last spring & raised funds to merge two areas near & dear to my heart; runDisney & my career as a school counselor. • Last Friday evening, Tina & I enjoyed the Autism Speaks team celebration 🥳 at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort! The celebration featured Disney themed snacks including Mickey shaped pretzels 🥨, cinnamon sugar churros with chocolate sipping sauce, & Mickey ice cream novelties 🍦. • Over the last several months, Autism Speaks has worked hard to bring informative webinars & podcasts to autistic adults, families, & caregivers. This organization also funded research on mental health in autistic youth & advocated for new bills that will expand access to services in the community 🩷 • From the bottom of my heart ♥️, thank you to those who supported & encouraged me during my fundraising journey.
