Day 3 - I spent my morning sunrise walk through my neighborhood admiring all the dogwood trees starting to bloom. Redbuds are also peaking. It’s fun to watch the order in which trees flower in the spring. Tulip magnolias are always the first to bloom, and they’re glorious. April 1 is the start of Photography Month in Sacramento. I’m yet again going to challenge myself by taking and posting a photo everyday this month. My theme this year is noticing the beauty in everyday things around us. To kick it off, I’m starting with two photos I took this morning of the power pole I see from my backyard. I was exercising in my garage gym and just was struck by the contrast of the bright blue sky, the rust on the metal, and the crisscrossing of the wires. But then crazy magic happened when I applied a b/w filter.
