I’m at the point in this pregnancy where when you look at me I just look fluffy. I don’t have the round belly yet, I just look like a less lean version of me and to be 100% honest that’s hard for me to deal with. I’m leaning into the fact that my body is doing an amazing thing and growing a human and in less than 5 months there will be a baby to show for all this and my family is all super excited and then I get my body back in a sense. Pregnancy is hard, it’s okay to not be happy with the changes BUT you’re doing amazing things and sometimes you just need a reminder! Anyway, it’s pull day and I feel good for the most part! ✨ OHRA-Talsperrenlauf 2024 ✨ Ich kann gar nicht in Worte fassen, wie glücklich mich dieser Lauf heute gemacht hat - und das im fast 6. The first week of a new program is always my favorite. It’s the baseline on which I try to progress from each month. I think once I took the focus OFF the scale and put it onto the lbs of volume I was lifting is when I really started to enjoy working out and enjoy the gym. Hot tip: If you’re going to the gym and you’re constantly trying to do more and never being satisfied it’s time to check your goals. If your whole reason for eating better and going to the gym is to get smaller and see how many calories you can burn then you’re doing something wrong. You can not hate yourself to change. Well, that’s not true… you can but the change won’t last and it’ll be a continuous cycle. Check yourself before you wreck yourself for real! Happy Tuesday 🩷

Hello ! Quelques jours de vacances en famille cette semaine. On reste en Moselle au cas où bébé fasse des siennes et qu’il faille rentrer en catastrophe ! Du coup petit tour sur le vélo ce matin et après ce sera juste un peu de marche / balade et ce sera déjà très bien, l’important étant d’être actif au moins 30 minutes par jour et de s’écouter bien sûr, surtout enceinte ! Je suis sur la dernière ligne droite de cette grossesse, la dernière de ma vie, j’essaye de savourer ces moments uniques, d’en faire profiter mon mari et mes enfants. Ils ont une manière tellement simple d’appréhender les choses, c’est trop adorable 😍 J’ai de la chance que tout se passe bien mis à part ce parvovirus qui est venu perturber un peu cette fin de grossesse. Je reste chanceuse de ce côté là pour le moment. 🤞 J’ai tellement hâte de cette vie à 5 ! Today was ROUGH! I ended up going to the gym at like 12:30 which if you know me you know I LOATHE afternoon workouts. However, we are very busy today and that’s just how it worked out, gotta do what I need to ya know ? The further along in the pregnancy I get the harder breathing is lol so that’s been fun. Teething is when your baby’s teeth start to come through their gumline. Another word for it is odontiasis. When a baby’s teeth start to emerge, it can be uncomfortable. One common thought is that baby teeth cut through gums, causing the pain that can come from teething; however, before the crown of a tooth appears, that part of your baby's gums has already been broken down by hormones. Most babies begin to teethe between 4 and 7 months old, but some start much later. There’s no need to worry if your baby’s teeth come in on another timetable – it can be different for every baby. The symptoms aren’t the same for every baby, but they may include: 💧Swollen, tender gums 💧Fussiness and crying 💧A slightly raised temperature (less than 100.4 F) 💧Gnawing or wanting to chew on hard things 💧Lots of drool, which can cause a rash on the face 💧Coughing 💧Rubbing their cheek or pulling their ear 💧Bringing their hands to their mouth 💧Changes in eating or sleeping patterns Teething can be painful, but it doesn’t usually make babies sick. Call your doctor if your baby has diarrhea, vomiting, rashes on the body, a higher fever, or coughing and congestion. These aren’t normal signs of teething. 1️⃣ Los recién nacidos se demoran en caer en sueño profundo, es por eso que se despiertan con frecuencia. 2️⃣ La mejor forma de controlar sus horas de sueño es establecer horarios y seguirlos habitualmente. 3️⃣ Darle un baño con agua tibia antes de ir a dormir lo ayudará a conciliar el sueño. 4️⃣ Instaura rutinas que le anuncien que es hora de dormir: apagar las luces, acostarse tranquilamente, silenciar todo tipo de sonidos, etc. 5️⃣ Acostarlo boca arriba será la mejor forma de evitar el síndrome de muerte súbita. 6️⃣ Las pesadillas son muy frecuentes en los niños, aprende a manejar estas situaciones escuchándolo y acompañándolo mientras se calma. 7️⃣ Que duerman demasiado tampoco es bueno, esto podría reducir su velocidad metabólica y su biorritmo. #progressiveoverload is where it’s at! It’s not comparing yourself to other people or even to yourself 4 years ago when you didn’t have kids and a husband and a demanding job. It’s about comparing yourself in the season that you’re in. I used to be guilty of being like “Well in high school I could run a 10 min mile” okay cool. I haven’t been in high school in 15 years (wow that was painful to write 😂) so I shouldn’t compare myself now to myself 15 years ago. A LOT happens in 15 years ya know? This was the difference in 4 weeks.. I went up in volume by 1,332 lbs. like that’s pretty cool! Be kind to yourself and just be consistent and you’ll see the changes you’re looking for 👌🏼💯

Babies are on a purely liquid diet for the first few months of life, whether you breastfeed or bottle-feed. Even after that, your baby or toddler may seem perpetually attached to their sippy cup! So, it may be surprising that babies can sometimes get dehydrated, just like adults. Dehydration means that your baby has lost too much water and isn’t able to drink enough fluid (milk) to replace it right away. Their small size makes it easier for babies and toddlers to lose water and get dehydrated. In serious cases, dehydration can be dangerous for babies if left untreated. Signs and symptoms of dehydration can vary depending on how much water loss your baby has. They may also be different in newborns, babies, and toddlers. Common signs of dehydration in newborns include: 🔹sunken soft spot on the top of the head 🔹sleeping too much (more than normal for even a baby!) 🔹sunken eyes 🔹crying with little or no tears 🔹fussiness 🔹cold or discolored hands and feet 🔹wrinkly skin Treatments and remedies for your little one’s dehydration depend on the cause and on how old your baby is. 💧Breastfeed regularly If your newborn isn’t yet latching on properly, keep trying to breastfeed at regular intervals. Let your baby try to latch on and then take a break when they get tired. Try to breastfeed again after 15 minutes or so. They’ll get the hang of it soon! 💧Try bottle or dropper feeding If your newborn is unable to breastfeed or you’re not yet making enough milk, try different ways to deliver the milk. Pump breast milk or make baby formula. Use a bottle, sterile dropper, or a teeny baby spoon to gently feed your baby milk. 💧Sample different formulas Spitting up and even vomiting is normal for babies as they get used to digesting milk. If you’re formula feeding, try a different formula to see if your baby likes it better. You might be able to help your baby spit-up less with these tips. 💧For night sweats, dress baby in light clothing If your baby or toddler sweats at night or when they sleep, dress them in breathable clothing, choose lighter bedding, and turn down the thermostat, to keep them from overheating at night. That’s where my favourite Tofu Poke Bowl comes in - it's a lifesaver on those hectic days! Packed with firm tofu and edamame, it's loaded with protein to fuel your active lifestyle and keep your energy up. Plus, it’s incredibly simple to make, so you can stay on track even when time is tight! 🥗💪 INGREDIENTS 🔅250g firm tofu 🔅¾ cup shelled edamame beans 🔅1½ cups cooked brown rice 🔅 ½ cup each of grated carrot, sliced cucumber, and purple cabbage 🔅 Fresh coriander and mint 🔅 1 tsp black sesame seeds FOR THE YUMMY DRESSING 🔅 ½ garlic clove, minced 🔅 Fresh ginger and red chilli, finely chopped 🔅 2 Tbs lime juice 🔅 1 Tbs fish sauce 🔅 1 tsp honey DIRECTIONS 1️⃣ Cook the brown rice as usual. 2️⃣ Sauté tofu cubes and edamame in soy sauce until golden. 3️⃣ Chop the veggies and herbs. 4️⃣ Shake up all the dressing ingredients in a jar. 5️⃣ Toss everything together in a bowl, drizzle with dressing, and sprinkle sesame seeds on top.
