Two at the Zoo 🥳 🐯 🐒 🐠 Last Autumn, for our little princess's second birthday, we took her on a trip to the zoo with her grandma and grandad. She loves animals and can sign so many names of animals... some of her favourites are monkeys and penguins. But, the highlight of her birthday trip was seeing the fish in the aquarium. I think because the aquarium was so tall and you could get face-to-face with the fish/the glass, so she could see them so clearly. Well, it's better late than never... I'm sorry it's been a while and I'm just about getting used to things... It's been an eventful few months and we have a lot to catch you all up on. Over the last few months... - Our little princess has been promoted to a big sister... yes, I'm now a mama of two! - I have been in an out of hospital as I am now waiting for neuro surgery as I have a tumor (not cancerous!) But it needs removing as long term it could cause serious damage to my eyesight. - We are in the process of moving up North (finally going back to Yorkshire after living in London for many years). A boy mom 💭 I didn’t have any expectations for the gender of the baby we made however there were parts of me that almost knew he was going to be a boy. I didn’t follow any old wives tales, or any freaky stories to make him a boy lol. Out of all the hands I was dealt with my pregnancy, receiving the best and happiest baby boy that made everything worth it. I didn’t think shopping for a baby boy would be so hard, but with every single thing having either dinosaurs or paw patrol it in, it made it a little difficult. But overall I ended up pushing my love of certain pop culture references onto him. 😅 We are going to raise the most respectful, kind, caring, compassionate little boy who everyone is going to feel safe around. He is already the greatest joy in our lives, and he’s going to be the best part of everyone else’s. 💚 I’m so grateful for him. He’s going to shatter so many little boy stereotypes and create the best world where everyone’s included. Gute Nacht, Mama ist müde 🥱 Die Nächte sind zur Zeit super unruhig. Entweder kann ich nicht einschlafen, oder Mini wacht alle 2 Stunden auf. Oder beides zusammen. Die Tage bieten auch wenig Ruhe dementsprechend bin ich müde. Müde von zu wenig Schlaf. Müde von schlechter Laune am Tag. Müde vom schlechten Wetter. Müde vom Alltag. Ich zähle die Tage: morgen in 3 Wochen sind wir hoffentlich schon am Meer. Dabei ist mir bewusst, dass Urlaub mit Baby nicht so entspannend ist, wie Urlaub ohne.
