A quick and effective pregnancy core workout that will help keep your core strong during pregnancy as well as prep for you labor and postpartum recovery! As always, you can still get so many benefits from doing this even if you’re not pregnant! You shouldn’t be skipping core work during pregnancy, just adapting! Every exercise, we focus on our BREATHING! Inhale and then exhale and engage your deep core on the contraction! If you notice your stomach start to cone during any movements, please modify! We want to be doing core exercises that are pregnancy safe and effective! WORKOUT: Focus on connecting your breath to EVERY rep! 2x through 8 Bear Crawl Holds: on all 4’s breathe in and then breathe out and engage your deep core while you lift your knees 2inches off the ground. Hold for a second or two and lower back down and repeat! 8 Tabletop Raises: in a reverse tabletop position, breathe in and then on the exhale, lift your hips up and engage your core! Make sure you do not have an arch in your lower back! 8 glutes bridge leg raises: laying on your back, engage your core and raise your hips up. With a straight leg, you’ll lift it up! You want to make sure your hips stay square to the ceiling 10 Oblique Slam Balls: starting on one side, breathe in and as you breathe out and engage your core you’ll lift the ball up and over your head and slam it down on the opposite side! My 2nd pregnancy would be CHICKEN SOUP. lol I Dont really remember having cravings with my 1st pregnancy. So glad that chicken soup craving was a healthy one lol. #cardioworkout today and I kept it simple with a 20 minute walk, 5 minute red light therapy, and 10 minute hydro massage! No part of me wanted to go to the gym this morning but luckily I have a workout partner who text me and asked if we were going in the morning and I’m her ride so who am I to deprive her of her gym time?! Baby brain is real 💡 Now before you all freak out and think (once more) what more do women have to go through. Let me explain. This brain shrinkage that occurs during each and every pregnancy is actually more of an upgrade than a loss. A recent study published in the journal Nature Neuroscience shows that pregnant women lose gray matter in areas of the brain that deal with people’s feelings and nonverbal signals. However, the loss, rather than diminish this area of brain processing, appears to make it more efficient, enabling improved interpretation of their babies’ needs and emotions, and therefore increasing their maternal attachment. The loss of volume does NOT correlate to a loss of function. In fact our brains have just become more efficient. And these changes; upgrade and brain size were found in women for at least two years after giving birth. I mean once again, how amazing are we! Women are super humans ! ❤️ ❤️

📍Cardio & pregnancy ➡️ Hit save to refer back to! ❤️ My mission is empowering women to move throughout their pregnancy in a way that not only feels comfortable & beneficial but allows them to stay strong & fit. You’ll never hear me saying you can’t do exercise, there’s always a way to adapt and most people will find a way to incorporate varied exercise into their pregnancy. *Of course there are cases where a specialist may have told you that certain movements are off the cards, or more rest is required. Health of mother and baby comes first. ➡️ So onto cardio and a few main points: 🫁 It’s ok to raise your heart rate and get out of breath! A very old study on heart rate has been debunked - everyone has a different resting heart rate and level of fitness so it makes sense that our maximal heart rate would also be individual. 🫁 Use the ‘talk test’ as a way of judging intensity. You should be able to continue a conversation, not on the floor gasping. (But it’s ok to be out of breath - about 7/10 intensity) 🫁 Cardio and pelvic floor - some types of cardio such as running & jumping put repetitive impact on the pelvis. When you’re pregnant you have increased weight focused on that area anyway, and likely less support from the abdominals. So, I’d recommend noticing the impact and how your pelvis and pelvic floor are reacting. Running may feel fine for a number of months, but at some point you might experience pressure, aching or even leaking and this is a sign that you could try some lower impact cardio instead. 🫁 Speaking of low impact cardio - did you know that this doesn’t need to be low intensity? That you can get a really great cardio ‘burn’, get your heart-rate up, feel sweaty and amazing. And yes, that’s all fine through pregnancy. Low impact just means you’re leaving the ground less, your feet aren’t striking the ground so it puts much less pressure on the joints and pelvic floor. ➡️ Cont’d in caption. 34 weeks legs& shoulders This was mostly glutes and shoulders but I sprinkled in some chest and quads as well. lol at all my bags and items on the floor. Good thing I work out at a private gym these days 😂 1. Glute ext 2. Rdls 3. Seated row supersetted with cable chest presses 4. Shoulder presses supersetted with leg ext 5. 5/5 29주 임산부 발레 여행가고 놀러다니는 바람에 3주만에 간 발레 클래스 ㅎ 근데 왜 레오타드는 계속삼?? ㅎㅎ 카페지오 반팔 면 레오타드 XL가 넘 편하게 잘맞는 요즘입니다. 사이즈 참고하셔용~ 임신 중기보다 후기가 확실히 몸이 무겁네요. 여기저기 다 아파요!! 점프는 예전보다 못뛰고 업하는 힘도 이제는 부족한데 발란스는 더 쉬워졌어요 ㅋㅋ 배불뚝이가 된것의 장점. Beginning my third trimester- skipped classes for a few weeks from traveling and am noticing how much heavier I feel now. Exactly one year apart🤪 This year: 7 months pregnant Low intensity workouts + light weights Walking for cardio Working out 4-5 days a week 20 lbs heavier Last year: Not trying for a baby yet Working out 6 days a week Running long distance @ the beach for cardio HIIT vacation workouts 20 lbs lighter Both seasons are so sweet and unique. A quick and effective pregnancy core workout that will help keep your core strong during pregnancy as well as prep for you labor and postpartum recovery! As always, you can still get so many benefits from doing this even if you’re not pregnant! You shouldn’t be skipping core work during pregnancy, just adapting! Every exercise, we focus on our BREATHING! Inhale and then exhale and engage your deep core on the contraction! If you notice your stomach start to cone during any movements, please modify! We want to be doing core exercises that are pregnancy safe and effective! WORKOUT: Focus on connecting your breath to EVERY rep! 2x through 8 Bear Crawl Holds: on all 4’s breathe in and then breathe out and engage your deep core while you lift your knees 2inches off the ground. Hold for a second or two and lower back down and repeat! 8 Tabletop Raises: in a reverse tabletop position, breathe in and then on the exhale, lift your hips up and engage your core! Make sure you do not have an arch in your lower back! 8 glutes bridge leg raises: laying on your back, engage your core and raise your hips up. With a straight leg, you’ll lift it up! You want to make sure your hips stay square to the ceiling 10 Oblique Slam Balls: starting on one side, breathe in and as you breathe out and engage your core you’ll lift the ball up and over your head and slam it down on the opposite side! I feel like I already am modelling the behaviours I want my son 🥹 to know that his Mumma (and Dadda) deem important to them. Going to the gym, I often find myself talking to him through my mind about what exercise we are doing and being even more mindful of how I move my body. . I am super grateful I am able to continually train! How long that will last for we will see but as I make my way to the 1/2 way point I am proud of my body and how it has held me so far. Constantly reminding myself how amazing this process is
