I have written my book review all over the place but I wanted take a moment and talk about this book specifically in audio. Nine Month Contract is performed in duet by @mallonerin and @narratedbyteddyhamilton a duo I always love when they work together and this time was pure gold! They both did such a wonderful job of bringing Trista and Wyatt to life. There are a few spots in the book that truly stuck out to me for each of them. Both with the laughs and the emotional. If you are a fan of audio I highly recommend this one or if you’re new to it this is a great place to start!

Day 2 vs Day 22… Before workout vs After workout… I had to comb my closet to believe that was the same shirt (I don’t YET have any repeats), alas, it is indeed. They say it takes two weeks to feel it and four weeks to see it, but side by side, my eyes are wider here at three. Fresh ink will be taking me out of the game, but I have been the proud holder of the leaderboard top spot since (just after) opening. #transformationtuesday Yesterday on #motivationmonday was my dental appointment and I hadn't seen my dentist in a hot minute, despite basically living there the past 3 years, considering all the work I have had done. My transformation was quite the hit throughout the office staff, with that being said, even the doc had lost 30+ lbs, which was amazing in itself. Upon entering the treatment room, he truly didn't even recognize me and we had an "a-ha" moment which was grandure in nature. Such a great visit sharing our success stories and each other's progress. Normally I dread the dentist and this time was different. We connected on a humanistic level as opposed to a regular doctor/patient relationship. #healingfromobesity is so much more than just weight loss. It's truly only one of the many components. It was literally a breath of frsh air to not be anxiety ridden in the chair and I was able to breathe a sigh of relief. I cannot remember ever feeling this way in the dental chair. It was a feeling of total acceptance and utter relaxation & i'm still hook, line & sinker on the feeling. This is what never giving up looks like. Deep breaths, often rapid during exercise, is vital to keeping your heart and lungs healthy. #hearthealth I always talk to myself out loud during low or high impact exercise. This is so important as it's vital to be able to have light conversation even at your max potential exertion. If you cannot speak as your breathing is labored and it will not allow you to, turn it down a notch. #tweakyourmovement Huge difference between effective and ineffective exercise. Same goes for pain. It's not ok to have any unnecessary discomfort. The more you do, the more you'll want to do. #exerciseisaddictive My sunday motivation and high intensity vibes are off the charts. I'm going to smash it today at the gym and push myself to do more. It's ok to be hungry for results and more than just food, hungry for your goals. My hard work and dedication is starting to pay off and my physical changes are huge. This dense muscle tissue is very foreign to me and quite honestly feels incredible. For years, I hated the mirror or anything reflective. And then one day, someone said to me "don't hate the mirror, change your reflection". And I haven't stopped since. Quite honestly, I have to pinch myself when I see my reflection these days. Since the onset of my transition, I never dreamed this would be possible. For years, I lost and gained hundreds of pounds. To my demise, only to put it back and so much more. The difference this time, is simple. Exercise. The gym has become my drug of choice. When I am not there and I miss it, i'm extremely agitated. Finally, I am putting myself first and have no regrets. This is what never giving up looks like. #transformationtuesday I just finished my very early morning last chance workout. On my way to primary care for my monthly weigh in visit. Last month I dropped 15.6 lbs more, after hitting a 2 month plateau. The number and the loss is going to be as much of a surprise to me, as it is to them, because I no longer get on the scale unless I am at the doctor's office. The scale no longer controls me, unlike how it did for years, during my "yo-yo" dieting and "lose 100 lbs in a month" phase. If it was up to me, I would not get on it ever however, you know how it is in the medical world, they obsess over a simple #. I'm gaining a huge amount of lean muscle mass which is much more dense than adipose tissue. The losses are starting to slow down as my time in the gym, exhaustive. If I stay the same, or lose very little, is a huge success for me. That's a win. Reason being, for years every time I stepped on the scale the number was larger, however trite. Maintaining your weight or losing just a little shows huge progress. It's truly saying that you have instilled these new health and wellness values into your lifestyle and not just merely "on a diet". You're weight should never fluctuate dramatically on purpose unless there's an underlying reason. How you feel, how your clothes fit and your mindset outweigh your losses. I finally get it. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Oh my heart! Y'all. This book has wrecked me for the foreseeable future. I just can't with how much I loved this book! I know I'm not finished with the series yet but this is by far my favorite! I honestly don't see any other one topping it. Circe and Lucius will forever hold a special place in my heart. The traumatic turn their story took literally broke my heart into a million pieces. The depths of emotions this book evoked in me was palpable. So much heartache, anguish, and fear had me on the edge of my seat unable to put the book down. I found myself needing to see the light come back into their eyes, needing the love they both so desperately yearned for seep deep into their souls, needing to see them happy and whole. Their story was so heartachingly beautiful. I loved every single minute of it. If ever two people needed a happily ever after, it was Circe and Lucius. If you haven't guessed already, I am seriously loving this series. It feels like it's been forever since a series has completely captivated me. The world Ms. Hawke has created is unique and intriguing. From beginning to end, I feel like I have been transported to wherever her beloved characters are, living life right there by their sides. But alas, a review is a must for this amazing piece of the story! We pick up 3 months later at a summit for the Immortals where more characters and nations are introduced. Gideon, an Elemental, is captivated by Rona, a vampire. His past experiences clouds his judgement of all vampires, and rightfully so, but he can't help but feel drawn to her. Rona also has a past and secrets and refuses to put herself in any situation that may lead to history repeating itself. Falling for Gideon is a big no go for her. But Fate and the heart will always triumph over stubbornness. Y'all. I absolutely adore Rona and Gideon! These two are seriously the best! I loved watching their relationship develop and seeing them learn to open their hearts for a chance at love. These two started out as enemies, but became the others fiercest protector. Swoony doesn't even begin to describe what these two have! I am seriously loving this series! While each book in this series features a different couple (which I LOVE), there's an on going story from beginning to end. I highly suggest reading these books in order. That being said, my biggest motivator is how I feel. As weird as this may sound, how I feel with my eyes closed. Big key. Huge. Leaving superficiality and appearance at the door so to speak. Yes, i've lost tons, yes, I look so much better. However, the biggest question is how I feel inside. The answer - Night and day, leaps and bounds better. I was not this motivated in my 20's. Go figure. I am living proof that you can change your life anytime you want to, as it's never too late. Truth be known I have been working on this for months now. I'm not gonna lie, this has been far from easy and actually sucks. The work I put in is exhausting and endless. This is what never giving up looks like. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Have you ever just craved reading a specific genre, a specific trope, but every search you do for it, you come up empty handed? That has been me whenever it comes to urban fantasy, werewolves, and vampire romance. Imagine my surprise when I stumbled across all three in one book. Y'all, all my fingers and toes were crossed that this would be that book. And it was. From the very beginning I was sucked into the chaos, the danger, into a world where vampires and werewolves attempt to work together to find peace between their nations, all while trying to locate and defeat an unknown enemy. Nova and Kane quickly became favorites of mine. There was chemistry aplenty between these two. Between the sass, sarcasm, witty banter, the fight for dominance, and all the swoony kisses, you can't help but root for them. In true enemies-to-lovers style, all I can say is sit down, buckle up, and enjoy the rollercoaster ride called Nova and Kane. Y'all. I loved every single minute of it! Intrigued and invested in this series after only one book hasn't happened to me in a while. I love when I find a new to me author that can sweep me off my feet and give me that much needed break from reality. And @author_anna_hawke did just that. I found myself reading late into the night, only stopping when my Kindle kept hitting me in the face, and woke up extra early because I just had to know what happened next! From the very first page, I was transported to one of my favorite places where I quickly fell in love with all things Thea and Mason! Y'all! Talk about all the feels, heart eyes, and dreamy sighs. Thea and Mason have been friends forever. Somewhere along the way, it turned into something more. At the age of seventeen, a life changing event happened, and instead of it bringing them closer together, outside forces used it to tear them apart. But 10 years later, the magic of Moonrise Cove brings them back together. The journey back to each other is definitely a rough one for Thea and Mason. There's a lot of heartbreak and hurt that they have to wade through. But the love they have for each other gives them the courage and that little push they need to face the hard things and find their happily ever after. Their story was so heartachingly beautiful, and I loved every minute I spent with them. If you guys haven't read any of the books set in Moonrise Cove, I highly recommend checking them out! I have loved every single minute I've spent there. Oh how I wish I could live there! It's enchanting and magical and just a fun place to be! Ms. LeBaron has done it again!
