Race - The Kaas Ultra Distance - 50k with approx 700m elevation gain Time - 4:30:49 hrs Rank - 1st in age category, 2nd overall with only 6 weeks of training đŞ I heard a lot about @thekaasultra so, just wanted to run 50k to get experience with no plans. With 6 weeks of good training I am returning to my fitness so, I decided to give it a try and check myself. Running always isn't just about speed, it's about strategy and self-awareness. Today, I chose to race with intention, prioritizing the harmony between my body and mind. No need for pushing too hard and risking injury. We've had some great racing by Trimarni athletes and team members over the past two weeks! Scott qualified for 70.3 WC at 70.3 Galveston. He executed a great performance and nailed his nutrition. Justin was top ten in his AG at the Race Fest Half Marathon and Keiko had a strong ride at the 100K Assault on the Carolinas. Joe was 2nd AG in the Ring the Bell 5K and Chelle was 1st AG at the Rosaryville Half Marathon. Ashley, Zach and Reid enjoyed their first-time experience at Oceanside 70.3 to kick off their triathlon racing season. Ruthanne, Jeremy, Joe and Tanner brought some speed to the Lake Murray triathlon. Sarah participated in the Ville to Ville relay and her group of runners placed 3rd female team. Maria completed the 55-mile Bike the Blue Bonnets event. Jirka was 9th AG at the PardubickĂ˝ pĹŻlmaraton Half Marathon in Czech Republic. Cymbeline was 3rd overall female at the Pinehurst Olympic triathlon and Danielle was 1st overall masters female at the YMCA Halfity Half race. Stephanie completed the Miami 10K open water swim in 2:55 and placed 7th female. Ellery and Jayme comleted the North Knox Sprint Triathlon and both placed in their age group. Was great to be back in the masters GB kit last week, for the first time in 5 years. Exceeded my expectations getting to the 800 and 1500metre Finals. finishing 9th in the 800m and 5th in the 1500m with a new indoor PB of 4:17.50. Was great to be in the mix at such a large scale event. Michael's progress on the bike was evident with a superb time and Frances showing reallybstring finishing 4th female. Ger also hitting in great form early season racing at Buncrana Duathlon. Helen, Coach Mark and the coaches wife taking on Portadown Half Marathon. Helen and the coach both with personal bests of 1.24. With Helen taking 2nd femal overall. Excellent performance early in the season. Im Idealfall brauchst du hierfĂźr keinen groĂen einlaminierten Zettel, sondern hast den Plan in deinem Kopf. Und sollte der Drang nach Techniktraining so groĂ sein, dann bitte nur, wenn jemand am Beckenrand steht der Ahnung hat und dir eine direkte RĂźckmeldung gibt. Fangt nicht an irgendeine der vielen âKraul-Technik-Philosophienâ, von denen jede die schnellste ist, zu kopieren. Happy FriYAY! đ We've officially kicked off triathlon season! At Clash Miami, Jayme got 1st AG in the 1-mile swim and completed the sprint triathlon. Bill was 2nd AG in the middle distance aquabike. Sara and Joshua completed the sprint and middle distance, placing on the podium in both events. Beth and Therese took their skills off road at the Du the Dirt Duathlon. Beth was 2nd overall female and Therese was third! Jirka took things to the snow and completed a 40K freestyle XC ski event in 2:35. Juan placed 5th AG at the Great Clermont Olympic triathlon and Cymbeline was 1st overall female at the Azalea sprint tri. This past weekend we had a hanful of triathletes participate in running events. Kathleen did the Patty's day 10K. Gloria ran the Shamrock'n Half Marathon. Kevin had a PR at the St. Patrick's Day half marathon (1st AG) and Angela was 4th AG. Reid was 1st at the Seneca Half Marathon. Diane climbed her way to 4th female at the Cold Rock 25K trail run. As for our marathon runners, Sarah had a PR at the Shamrock Marathon (3:23!). Coach Joe ran 2:55 and was 1st AG at the Asheville Marathon and Cymbeline was 3rd AG (3:33). Rachel participated in a local Olympic tri and was 4th AG, Maria was female grand master winner at the Luck of the Irish Sprint Tri and Kathryn was 5th AG at IM 70.3 Puerto Rico. Congrats team! Racing can bring on a host of emotions like anxiety, fear, nerves and self-doubt. Your key races carry a lot of emotional weight. To help you perform at your best when it matters the most, you need to get yourself on more race start lines. Participating in a local or low key event can help take the pressure off yourself. Associating racing with fun, memorable, stress-free and enjoyable moments can help you feel more confident when it comes to your very important races. Even if your "fun" race is a different sport or distance than your "A" race, you have an opportunity to experience pre-race and race day routines, actions and emotions which can't be replicated in training. The main objective at any race is to give your best effort on the day.
