Walter is also a relatable character, as I’m sure most of us have been stuck in an office, only to eventually find their job under threat as part of some modernisation scheme. Today a picture that I have wanted to implement for a long time. Many people probably know the film “The secret life of Walter Mitty”. For me one of the best films. Great story, great pictures and music. One of the scenes that always stayed in my mind is the one in which Walter and his two companions are running in front of the waterfall in the Himalayas. Like many others, the scene was filmed in Iceland. The waterfall is known to every Icelandic holidaymaker as Skógafoss. Of course I also brought a few pictures with me from my vacation there. After I saw the film again at the weekend, I grabbed one of the pictures, erased all the tourists and inserted myself into the Walter Mitty pose. Complete. Nie ważne czy czekamy na śnieżnego leoparda w Himalajach, jesteśmy na koncercie ulubionej gwiazdy, czy po prostu spędzamy czas z przyjaciółmi- warto być w pełni obecnym, bez rozpraszaczy. Walter też przypomina, że nigdy nie jest za późno na spełnianie marzeń i eksplorację świata. I że ciasto klementynkowe może rozwiązać każdy konflikt!

I too aspire to one day be like Walter Mitty. "The Secret Life of Walter Mitty" is not a film that initially made an impact on me. Sure, it is funny, it has some great cinematography (big big highlight), a nice plot and a few good twists...but it didn't feel like something quite special, at least not to me. Just a solid, good film. So I left it at that. As the days passed though, I caught myself thinking about it again and again and again. The themes seen in the film and the message it (successfully) tries to send, just stuck in my head. Seize the day, be kind and believe in yourself. Rarely does a film make such a silent impact in everyday life. But this one does. Story was discussed through different lens and Perspective by participants. Na początku myślałem, że będzie to historia o fantazjowaniu na temat własnego życia. O tych wszystkich wygranych dyskusjach, które wygrywamy pod prysznicem. O wszystkich przygodach, których odmówiliśmy bo nie chcieliśmy ryzykować. O tym jak fantazjujemy o sobie. O lepszych nas, odważniejszych, biorących się z życiem za bary i wygrywających, o nas pełnych werwy, o nas jakimi nie jesteśmy, mimo, że bardzo chcielibyśmy tacy być. Wreszcie o tym, że może czasem warto dać się ponieść i pozwolić sobie przeżyć coś czego się nie spodziewamy. A może to historia o tym, że każdy, nawet najbardziej przeciętny człowiek, zasługuje na uznanie. Przynajmniej raz! Throughout a season I film hundreds of hours of video and take thousands of photos. Immediately after the hunt ( and often during ) Ill edit a few to showcase the adventure we’re on. But it’s not usually until well after the hunt that I get to sift through the mountain of footage to find the gold.
