Time you enjoy wasting is not wasted time… Now I’m turning 35 I have hand selected 5 years of my adventures, just to remind myself how I have chosen to make my life. Fighting against the naysayers but I continued to push through the noise and do what I always knew I wanted to achieve. I set myself a goal in life to live it to the full and never not enjoy every moment of time I had. Because if could have given my 20 year old self advise I would have done this journey a lot sooner. In a blink of an eye the years fall off you and you get older, it’s a fact of life and one we can escape it . ‘Why are we even doing this’ was the question I got asked by a slightly worried @shootfromthetrip gripping onto the rock face of Tryfan at the weekend. Because you can. Thats the answer. As humans, we are dragged in two different directions. 1. Our subconscious mind wants to remain safe, secure and comfortable without any external risks or pressures. 2. Our conscious thoughts want to strive for more. Feeling unfulfilled when remaining in our comfort zones for to long. We want to see where our limits are. We want to see how we react in risky situations or from environmental pressures. All to often I speak to people who feel unfulfilled. They have regrets of never really challenging themselves enough to get any kind of self achievement. Often, this is in all aspects of their lives. Nothing really ‘spikes’ them to feel alive or fill them with power. When was the last time you truly left your comfort zone? When was the last time you had to conquer fear in order to achieve a greater satisfaction from hitting a goal? When was the last time you said NO, when your body and mind wanted to give up? Strength comes from struggle. Hardships create hardened characters. We expose ourselves to resistance to train how to deal with things when we are no longer in control. We adapt & we overcome. Ogwen Hostel Falls, Llyn Ogwen, Snowdonia. Just behind the National Trust Ogwen Cottage and at the foot of the trail up to Llyn Idwal, lies this beautiful waterfall. Many people miss it as they pass quickly by on the trail up the mountain but this is a really nice little spot away from the crowds on a busy day to just sit and watch the water flow by. Cofiwch ddwad ag arian parod efo chi os da chi am barcio’n agosach - mae gofyn i chi dalu £3.50 os yda chi isio parcio reit yn y trwyn. Mi allwch chi adal eich car yn bellach i lawr y lôn i sbario talu, ond dim ffiars bod diva bach tŷ ni am neud hynny (Awel llu, dim fy ngŵr lolz). ⛴️ It’s hard to believe that we had this type of weather on the weekend! I really liked this place - and I want to go back minus the children so I can enjoy their sweet treats in peace! The garden area is a lovely space, and the dogs were lovely company. There was a queue to the toilet, so changed Awel in the car as we left. We decided to order one large pizza and a side of chips for us all to share, and we all tucked in. Remember to bring cash if you want to park closer to the point - it costs £3.50.
