Oh my word y’all! I’m in love. My little man is growing up. And he’s been doing it with such grace and beauty. He’s lost another tooth y’all! This is tooth number 5! And he looks so darn cute with his two front teeth gone. I’m not gonna lie. I was a little nervous for him. I remember what I looked like with my two front teeth gone. And, well, ok I pretty much looked like him but with longer hair and missing some amazing dimples...so I guess it wasn’t too bad lol. But I know kids can go through what we loving parents like to call “awkward stages.” Well, if this is Titus’ “awkward stage” look out world! Titus has been so good to Tobias through his surgery and recovery. Oh the love between these brothers 🥰 I just know they are going to be the best of friends 😘. Tobias is doing so well! He’s one tough little guy. We have about a week and a half until he’s through the recovery process, and our hopes are high that he will continue to get better and stronger! Yet, in the midst of the fretting and the worry and the reminders that this life gets hard; a beautiful reassurance and restful peace was whispering deep in my soul. Last night I knew time had gotten away from me. It happens quite easily and unfortunately frequent. It’s the sign of an over booked, over worked schedule and under appreciated value of time... last night I went to bed knowing full well that we were critically low on groceries. Knowing that I’d have to... piece together some sort of concoction that would resemble some form of a decent lunch from a loving and caring momma for her sweet little pre-k’er. I crossed my fingers this morning as I zipped the little lunch box and set it in his backpack... I didn’t sleep well last night. Yes, my failure at getting groceries before the night sky fell over us was weighing on my mind. But what was more pressing was the health of my baby boy... And amidst it all you have this relentless hope. This unwavering trust that the creator of this universe; the creator of your very being and all that you love around you has never lost sight of his creation. Has never lost grip.
