I understand Chief Tenaya when he refused to disclose the location to the white men of the hidden magical valley. 6日目。早朝に #sfo で車を借りて#ヨセミテ国立公園 へGO！190マイルの旅。初めてレンタカーでヨセミテに行ったので自由度すごい。まずはTunnel Viewから。午前中に行ったらガスって真っ白だった。でもここからヨセミテのハイライトをほぼ網羅できる。#エルキャピタン 、#ブライダルベールフォール 、そして#ハーフドーム 。最高。そのままGlacier Pointへと思ったら数日間だけたまたま通行止め…。次来られるのは一体いつなんだ？悲しみ。仕方がないのでそのまま公園の中心部へ。駐車場が全然ない（白目＆半ギレ）。駐車するのに1時間以上うろうろしたよ。ヨセミテバレーロッジに宿泊したけども、夕方までは駐車場が一般開放されているので備忘録…。だがしかし、そんなことどうでもよくなる景色が広がっているのがヨセミテ。いつか登った#ヨセミテフォール も7月中旬にしてまだ水の量が充分にあって見応え抜群。そして世界中のクライマーの憧れEl Capitan！初めて真下から見上げたけども、とにかくかっこよすぎる。強い、強すぎる。双眼鏡があったら登っている人を見つけられたのかしら。 #アメリカ旅行 #yosemite #yosemitenationalpark #halfdome #elcapitan #tunnelview #yosemitefalls #bridalveilfalls

As I was outside in the forest this motive caught my attention. Some Anemone flowers standing in front of an old tube. Inside it’s no light and dark, but if you look further and look to the ending it’s a whole field of flowers. Sometimes it could be like how life is. Yosemite is massive, and has five different entrances. Like most from SoCal, we took State Route 41 outside of Fresno to the South Entrance to the park. After a short back-up at the toll booths, we were on our way along a gorgeous, winding road at 35 MPH toward our first stop: Tunnel View lookout. It was then that the scale of the park started setting in - from the entrance to Yosemite Valley, it takes approximately 50 minutes without traffic. The scenery becomes more dramatic as you get closer to the valley, and then it comes into view just before you drive into the Wawona Tunnel, a 4,233 foot-long tunnel bored through granite bedrock in 1933; this alone is incredible to drive through! Exiting the other side, we came to Tunnel View lookout, a stunning view of Yosemite Valley and some of its famous landmarks - El Capitan, Half Dome, and Bridalveil Fall, to name a few. This reveal is nothing short of awe striking; it brought tears to my eyes in the moment and reduced my vocabulary to three words: “Oh, my God!” Photos don’t do this vista justice. We stood there taking it all in - the scale is mind boggling. “Humbling” is the word I’ve most used to describe this moment. It’s nature’s best work on full display and its grandeur is shocking and awesome. We immediately noticed the waterfall below - Bridalveil Fall - which would be our next stop! And looking behind us, we spotted Silver Strand Falls, a seasonal waterfall that is often missed because folks are so distracted looking out over the valley. Magyarország EU csatlakozásának 20. évfordulójára készülve az FKF a főváros megbízásából nagytakarítást végzett. Én a Lánchíd és Alagút éjjeli tisztítását fotóztam. Április 24-én szerdán 23:45-kor kilőtték a fényeket a hídon, lezárták mind a hídat, mind az Alagútat, és bementek a gépek. Nagynyomásó vízzel illetve nagy autókkal, tisztítószerrekkel mosták le a sokéves koszt. Az FKF munkásai derekasan küzdöttek, a hideg (kb. 5 fok) és a mindent beborító vízpermet ellenére is. Emellett még arra is volt energiájuk, hogy teljes mellszélességgel segítsék a munkám. Ez a poszt tehát főhajtás és tisztelgés előttük, akik hajnali négyig takarították a Lánchídat (majd egy nappal később, ugyanígy a Szabadság-hidat), amíg mindenki más aludt. Honeymoon days four & five: Yosemite 🌲 After San Francisco, we drove to Yosemite to take in the giant Sequoias, and they really were giant! The shuttle bus wasn’t running, so we hiked two miles to get to the site of the giant Sequoias, but it was worth it. The California Tunnel tree was impressive. People had cut a tunnel through the middle of it in the late 1800s to boost tourism. Today, it is showing signs of healing itself ❤️🩹 The Grizzly Giant was another mile hike, but it’s the biggest tree in Yosemite and is nearly 3000 years old. It’s so big that its branches look like fully-formed, normal-sized trees all on their own 😮 We then came across four more giant Sequoias, affectionately known as Bachelor & Three Graces. These were also so big that I didn’t bother taking a photo of them in their entirety 📷 This is the view from underneath California Tunnel, looking out across Yosemite and the hiking trail we just walked 🚶🏻♀️ After our 6.6 mile round hiking trip, it was time to go to the hotel. It inspired film makers who worked on The Shining. Although it’s not their sole inspiration, aspects of this lodge were used 🎥 The next day, we visited Yosemite Valley. This is El Capitan and it stands at 3000 feet. It’s that big, there are climbers on it that you can’t see in this photo 🧗🏻♀️ Next on the tour was Bridal Veil. During spring, Yosemite has constantly flowing waterfalls as a result of snow melt. However, Bridal Veil is the only one that flows all year round💦 It was then time to stop at Tunnel View, which is literally the view we saw when we emerged from the tunnel that started on the other side of the valley 🚙 This is Yosemite Falls, and it only gushes like this in the spring through to July 🌊 The last photo is of Half Dome. ☀️Last Valley Day☀️ Suuuper sunny and warm in Yosemite today! I was feeling very tired so started off with the Tunnel View viewpoint (this pic) then I just did a 9.5km hike up to Vernal Falls and chilled by the river taking in the views. This was my last full day in Yosemite, but I’m going to sneak in another half day tomorrow before heading to San Francisco.
