I’m aware this isn’t a popular concept. We live in an age where we want to talk things to the death and have all our complaints validated.

I used to be THE biggest moaner. Seriously, it makes me wince to think about it. Working with a Toltec shaman the past 3.5 years has knocked that right out of me. He doesn’t allow us to complain - just doesn’t tolerate it. Why? Because - he teaches us - we are the masters of our destiny, and when we complain, we lose our personal power. Learning how to silence the monkey mind and control our thoughts is one of the most important steps in our spiritual journey; we CAN choose to move on from the past. I do truly believe in the importance of processing our emotions and trauma, but these past few years have taught me the power of removing the emotion from the body, then moving on. And the more I’ve learnt to stop complaining, the easier I’ve found solutions to my problems, and the more I’ve realised that all those “problems” are actually blessings in disguise. In an age where constantly talking about our troubles has become popular, let’s try and remember the merits of standing strong and sovereign, and in our personal power. If your calling is true, And you are true to your calling… Miracles will occur to clear the way, Open the road, And bring that magic your way. Went on a mission earlier to look for this amazing Ash tree that I found last June near my dad’s place. What a beauty and such a strong presence in this piece of woodland.. offerings made.. took me a little while to find where it was.. remembered roughly the area, and the way the ground made a slope and the amount of moss on the fallen trees in the vicinity 💚.. I was looking around and couldn’t see it .. I started to sing to call it to reveal itself.. within 30 seconds or so it was right in front of me.. amazing, yet so simple… there - the awesome power of intent. I sat with it for a while once I’d made the offering and sang another few songs, giving thanks for this meeting. It’s amazing, the number of synchronicities that have been occurring here since I arrived.. these are always welcome and reassuring, especially when we’re looking for some clarity in any situation. I didn’t just suddenly decide one day to be a medicine carrier… It was a deep calling, but the reality of it crept up on me after years of denial and trying to run away from myself, until I realised that by not answering my calling I was getting very sick… it was a sickness of the spirit. It became critical…. That’s how crucial it is for me to walk this road.. it’s that simple - If I don’t, my spirit doesn’t like it and I get sick. But it’s far from easy, and I still need all the help I can get. Every day I pray for my family, my community, and the land. And I give thanks for all of the blessings in my life… first and foremost to the miracle that I survived. When I was in Mexico in 2016, a woman in the Anthropology museum asked me about my Tonalomatl (astrological birth chart) .. I told her I was born under the glyph of Malinali (which is the sign of the medicine man/woman) .. she said it’s a path of many deaths.. I agreed.. ☠️ But then flowers 🌸 can begin to blossom. I pray for the wisdom of the ancestors to return and reach each one of us in this most critical time. I pray that each one of us finds that spark again - to reignite it and live in accordance to the natural law… in a symbiotic relationship with the earth and all beings, and that peace is restored between all communities and all nations. Today I had a dream that a great flood came. The streets became rivers and the blocks of flats stood alone in the dark waters. Then suddenly a great mist fell, in which floated a small glowing school of beautifully crimson colored fish. “Now we'll have to start helping each other,” I thought. According to Jung, water in a dream always means a manifestation of the unconscious. If you are drowning in a dream, your unconscious contents are rising to the surface of consciousness and wishing to be seen. I have been dealing with the unconscious for years and my dreams are no longer nightmares. I write down my dreams and return to them from time to time. It's like a hidden movie. Many motifs are repeated in them. Once or twice I managed to wake up in the middle of a dream and say to myself, this is all just a dream. It was amazing and of course I thought I wanted to fly in my dream. So I flew over the city. I thought I wanted to see the "lines of the world" that the old Native American sorcerers talked about, and red lines came out of my fingertips and trailed behind me and around me. Our younger son (8) "switches dreams" at night. He says that when the dream is ugly, he blinks his eyes inside the dream and the dream changes. Then he switches until he is satisfied with the dream. The Four Agreements by Don Miguel Ruiz 🙌 17 - 2024 I bought this a few years ago, skimmed through to the end, and never really connected to the message or material. I decided to try it again this weekend and had a totally different experience. Sometimes you really need to pick up the right book at the right time, because before you’re ready for it the message will never click. I really enjoyed this, and it fits with a lot of the things I’ve been personally working on for some time. It’s not a traditional “self help” book, those never hit for me. Rather, it’s four simple tenants from Toltec wisdom that can help reframe the way you approach life and extricate yourself from negative beliefs/learned behaviors/patterns. If you’re working on breaking old belief systems in your brain and showing up as your authentic self this is really relatable and helpful. The agreements feel especially helpful for anxiety related behaviors.
