Let’s take a pause for a moment. Do you ever just pause and think about how far you have actually come in life, career, relationships, etc? I no longer work for the mouse but I put one of my name tags on my whiteboard as reminder. A reminder of how hard I worked in consumer insights in all types of weather asking guests about their visits to workforce management and the tools 🧰 I gained. It’s a reminder that I will always at heart ♥️ be a Disney Cast Member. It’s a reminder that I wouldn’t be where I am today professionally, if it wasn’t for those experiences. The friendships and networking relationships I built, I cherish. Some might fade but others I know will forever be a part of me. I am so grateful for those chapters. How lucky am I to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard? Walked down memory lane through my photo album to figure out how the hell to sum up this crazy experience. And at the end of the day, the most important part was the people. Every single day this group worked so hard to build eachother up, to make the Canada pavilion as magical as it could be. ✨ • A little but of a sad update, but earlier this week I, in the words of my doctor, “absolutely obliterated” my ACL at work. This means that I’ll be taking a break from performing at WDW while I recover. I’ve always been an active go go go person and don’t do well being told I need to prioritize sitting and resting, so all of the prayers and good vibes are appreciated! It’s so funny that after all the years of dance, soccer, swimming, horseback riding, hiking, and other miscellaneous extreme activities, slipping is what took me out 😂 but Florida is gonna have to try harder than that to get rid of me! Ok I know I’m WAY behind the curve here..but it’s been a busy week and a half. I moved to Maryland, and started a new job working at NARA, the National Archives and Records Administration. My tasks aren’t super fancy yet but that’s ok by me, gives my brain a little time to adjust to the major change. I’m so beyond excited to start even at the bottom of this field and this line of work, I love history, I love old papers and getting to touch a piece of the past. For the last 10 years, I got to say something I’ll always pride myself on, I was a Disney Cast Member. And I think once a CM, always the mind of a CM. The work ethic and sense of kindness and desire to spread joy that I developed will never be forgotten. Even when I began looking at other options, my goal was to be with Disney for the 100th anniversary of the company and I accomplished that. My love for the history of Disney will also never be extinguished…I’ve already info dumped on my brand new co workers haha. I will always be magical, I will always be a cast member at heart, and who knows, I may make my way back to the mouse someday. But I’ll always be a joyful guest every time I visit any Disney location, knowing that I was and will continue to be part of the magic. I treasure the time I spent with so many amazing people and the stories I got to share with literally thousands of people (which is wild). For every 5 tours I gave, I shared the history of Disney with 100 people. That’s an impact I’ll never take for granted. I met most of the best people in my life rocking the plaid, either blue or red, and those people were both fellow cms and guests. So it feels good to have celebrated such a monument with the company before getting to move on towards my next adventure. Cast Preview of Journey of Water inspired by Moana 🌊🩵 • • Today I got to experience WDW’s newest attraction with my friends at my cast preview! I wasn’t exactly sure what to expect for a “walk through attraction” but as a lover of Moana, I was very excited. I’ve got to say this attraction definitely exceeded my expectations. The scenery was gorgeous, the interactive elements were both fun and very relaxing, and it incorporates a lot of that learning aspect that EPCOT tries to promote. I am so beyond grateful I got to attend today and cannot wait for this attraction to be officially open so I can go as often as I’d like, because I know it will be a calming spot! P.S. keep an eye out in the rocks for some familiar faces, the only one we couldn’t spot was Pua!

**Career Update** Today was my last day supporting Disney Springs, ESPN Wide World of Sports, Typhoon Lagoon, Blizzard Beach, miniature golf, and runDisney. While I’m keeping my OTA title, effective next week I’ll be supporting Recreation Planning and Delivery! These last two years have been nothing but a challenge, full of growth and learning. It’s been hard, not going to lie. Supporting such a large region, sometimes without a partner (and many times without a leader!) was one of the most humbling experiences of my career. I’m so thankful for my coworkers, those from the start and the newer faces, as they have been nothing but amazing as I fumbled through the role. With such a small team supporting such a large region, they have proved time and time again how strong and resilient they are. I can safely say this is the HARDEST goodbye I’ve had in a while. If you look the the right side of the park when facing Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway, you will see in the Animation Courtyard the Star Wars Launch Bay! Inside there is also a special Disney Visa Cardmember meet & greet which is Darth Vader as well, but there is a photopass photographer in there that can get better pictures versus the regular meet & greet that has an automatic camera.
