Continue To Do Good Do you remember the last time you were completely exhausted? Maybe you spent your entire day or week working on a hard project. Maybe you felt depleted after helping other people in your life. Or maybe hard situations and setbacks made you feel like giving up. All of us grow tired at some point. Paul, the writer of Galatians, knew that the people he was writing to would also become tired of the work they were doing. During Paul’s time, there was a lot of persecution and hurting people, and Paul was writing to encourage them in the work they were doing. Inside Paul’s encouragement to the Galatians is this truth: Even good people will tire of doing good things. That’s why Paul encourages everyone to continue to push forward in doing good. We should continue to help people. We should continue to share the hope of Jesus with people. We should continue to try and live as God would want us to. God knows that we’ll eventually grow weary. And when we grow tired and frustrated, we’ll probably begin to question why we’re doing any of this to begin with. (Maybe you’ve already asked yourself this.) But Galatians 6:9 encourages us to persevere in doing good things. Similar to how a farmer must work diligently to plant his crops and wait months before the actual harvest, Paul says there will be a harvest for those who do not give up. Just like the Christians in Galatia, we also need to persevere in living godly lives and helping those around us. If we do not give up, Scripture says there will be a reward for us. We may receive that reward during our time on earth, or in heaven—but regardless of when we receive it, we should persevere in doing good. That means that your work matters. There is value to how you live and love others. So spend some time today considering the good that you have done and can continue to do for others. Who can you help? Think of your heart like soil. Is it ready to be planted with seed that will grow? Is it healthy, not dry or hard? Is it prepared for planting? What have you been planting in your heart? The kind of fruit it produces depends on what you plant and the condition of your heart. If your heart is hard, like compacted soil, it needs to be broken up. If it’s dry, it needs more preparation. We need to make sure our hearts are ready for planting, so when the rain comes, our fields will be fruitful. Keep planting righteousness, and you’ll see good results. Seek God with all your heart. Don’t let your heart become unproductive; you’ll miss out on the harvest.

Wouldn’t it be great to be so in love with Jesus and so overwhelmed by his saving grace and mercy and so grateful for the most dramatic search and rescue that ever took place when he saved you from utter darkness and eternal damnation that you just lost yourself for a season in unfettered worship like King David was when he danced before the Lord? Of course, there are cultural differences that shape our expressions of worship, but wouldn’t you agree that after all God has done for us out of his undeserved loving-kindness, we need to loosen up a bit in how we express our love and gratitude for God in worship from time to time? It might be a stretch for you, so try this when you are in a private place and time, but just lose yourself in the wonder of worship by shouting for joy and dancing a jig for Jesus. Right now, the majority of eyes on this post are attached to souls barely above water. We are overworked and under rested. Ministry, family, work...pick one. We have responsibilities we can't ignore. Our body, soul and peace are paying the price. It is not good stewardship to not prioritize rest. Burnout is not a badge of honor. It's not a crown for us to wear. It's not a pass to holiness. Burnout is a sign rest isn't a priority. It's our body forcing rest, an alarm to slow down. I don't care what the current culture of the church or the world has established as acceptable. If I'm too busy to rest in the Lord, the cost is too great. Jesus calls for rest, not burnout. Rest is as productive as the work. #helloawesomemessages

I don’t know about you, but every now and then, the Lord has a way of showing me how I’m placing more trust in chariots than in Him, and I can only imagine how He must feel as a Father when we tend to trust in something else more than trusting in Him. The Psalmist said... I lift up my eyes to the hills. From where does my help come? My help comes from the Lord... (Psalm 121:1-2 ESV). The New Living Translation says... I look up to the mountains—does my help come from there? My help comes from the Lord...! However, why do we sometimes find it easier to trust the mountains or chariots instead of God. The Bible tells us of King Asa who went to ask for help from the king of Aram instead of from the Lord. Well, what he did displeased the Lord. So, the Bible says... Hanani the seer came to Asa... and said... “Because you relied on the king of Syria, and did not rely on the Lord your God, the army of the king of Syria has escaped you. Were not the Ethiopians and the Libyans a huge army with very many chariots and horsemen? Yet because you relied on the Lord, he gave them into your hand. For the eyes of the Lord run... throughout the whole earth, to give strong support to those whose heart is blameless toward Him. You have done foolishly in this...” (2 Chronicles 16:7-9 ESV) I can only imagine that the Lord was watching patiently to see whether King Asa would come to Him for the help that he needed, but no! King Asa walked past heaven’s door and went knocking on the door of king of Aram. Unfortunately, rather than put our trust in the Lord, we tend to have more faith in chariots and this must break the Lord’s heart. We also lose some battles because we chose to rely on people rather than on God. For whatever reason, King Asa was determined not to seek the Lord’s help. The Bible says... in the thirty-ninth year of his reign Asa developed a disease in his feet. His disease was severe, YET EVEN IN HIS ILLNESS HE DID NOT SEEK THE LORD, BUT [RELIED ONLY ON] THE PHYSICIANS (2 Chronicles 16:12 AMP) Isn’t that sad? He trusted the doctors more than he trusted the Lord. However, our feature text is a reminder; Who or what are you currently trusting in?

I seek my comfort in the words of Jeremiah 1:5: “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.” This verse speaks to me deeply because it reminds me that even before I knew Him, Jesus knew me intimately and had a purpose for my life. It’s a comforting thought that I am not alone on this journey, but rather I am guided and chosen by a higher power. Imagine a delicate flower emerging from beneath the snow. Just as the flower pushes through the cold ground to reach for the warmth of the sun, I too am striving to break through the barriers of doubt and fear to bask in the light of Jesus’s love and grace. I believe that as I continue to seek Him with an open heart and a humble spirit, He will reveal His purpose for me and lead me on a path of righteousness. And with Jeremiah 1:5 as my guiding light, I am confident that I am indeed set apart for a divine purpose. So family, remember that you always have Him as your reassurance. Sure I’ve had my fun fun times with my friends but as you grow older you realise friends aren’t just there for the laughs and good times; they play a crucial role in shaping who we are, just as iron sharpens iron. Good friendship is the kind where both friends challenge each other to be their best selves. It’s about having someone who isn’t afraid to tell you the hard truths when you need to hear them, someone who stands by your side in the storms and celebrates with you in the victories. These friends push you closer to your goals and towards becoming a better person. But here’s the key: it’s a two-way street. Good friendships involve give and take. You sharpen each other through honest conversations, shared experiences, and the kind of trust that only comes with true companionship. It’s about building each other up, not tearing each other down. Remember, good friends reflect the love of Christ—they love without conditions, they forgive without keeping score, and they lift each other up in prayer and encouragement. When I was given this Bible from @joycreativebibles - tears filled my eyes and an overwhelming sense of gratitude flooded my heart. I began to remember all that God has done for me. If I could explain my life with one scripture it would be Psalm 18:16, “He reached down from on high and took hold of me; he drew me out of many waters.” Many, many waters. Many raging and engulfing waters. He saved me when no one else could. I don’t think I’ve ever owned a more beautiful Bible in my entire life. It’s personal…it means something to me that is hard to place into words. Did you notice the bracelet on the hand of the one who Jesus is drawing out of those troubled waters? And He has never let me go. How grateful I am for Jesus! Angels (2) ‘He will order his angels to protect you wherever you go.’ Psalm 91:11 NLT In what situations might God send an angel to help us? (1) When those we love and trust have disappointed us. In a decision with his wife, Sarah, Abraham got Hagar pregnant to try and fulfil God’s promise. Then when Isaac was born a year later, Abraham sent Hagar away without child support. Believing they would both die, Hagar left baby Ishmael under a tree and walked away. But God sent an angel to tell her that her son had a destiny as part of his plan (see Genesis 21:18). (2) When we’re facing embarrassment and can’t defend ourselves. Mary planned to get married, then have a baby. But God had a different plan. By being pregnant out of wedlock, Mary faced public humiliation, and according to the law should be put to death. But God sent an angel to tell her that she was in the centre of his will (see Luke 1:34-38). (3) When we’re grieving the death of someone we love and are worried about our future. Mary Magdalene loved Jesus so much, so when he died she was heartbroken. That’s when God sent an angel to tell her: ‘He isn't here! God has raised him to life’ (Matthew 28:6 CEV). In the Bible it says, ‘Some people have shown hospitality to angels without knowing it’ (Hebrews 13:2 NIV). The cynical world can make us doubt that God loves us enough to send an angel to help us. But it’s true, he can, and will if needed. So what now? Scripture alone is the authority for faith, salvation and truth. Whatever you hear from others, come back to the Word of God to challenge, to convict, to cut to the heart and grow in knowledge of truth. It is in God’s Word that we grow.
