May Days so far. Life has been mostly green and pink. I’ve taken the first dip in the river and the first sip of fetco tonic. I’ve got nine new mosquito bites and a stinging nettle rash above my right ankle. Azaleas are blooming way too early but I’m not mad. I can’t stop reading feminist crime novels. Yesterday I saw my two best friends on the same day. I’ve also watched Challengers and laughed incredulously throughout at how meticulously put together yet shamelessly chaotic it was. These days, I feel good most of the time and it requires zero effort. I cosplay as asparagus a lot. I sleep well at night. Damn, am I happy? Eating healthier had to be a choice. Not eating meat is not for everyone but make healthier choices (no antibiotics, no hormones, no nitrates and no by-products) choose smaller portions the size of the palm of your hand but for me I choose a Plant Based diet for now. Who knows what tomorrow will bring. 1. Collard and Kale Greens, 2. Organic Jasmine Basmati Rice (soaked Rinsed before cooking and not for my hair 🤦🏾♀️), 3. Red Beans 4. Spicy Guacamole with Pico de Gallo 5.
