Our breast are a fundamental part of our physical ability to nourish and nurture. Likewise, our breast are symbolic of our emotional capacity to nurture ourself and others. Problems like breast lumps indicate that we’re putting the needs of others before our own - that we're over nurturing, smothering or being overbearing towards someone or something in our lives. It can be useful to place yourself in the shoes of someone that your over nurturing. How might this kind of 'smother love' be impacting their development? Where might you begin to make small yet significant adjustments to your approach - for the benefit of yourself and others? Create an affirmation to counter the unhelpful emotional state - e.g. I give and receive nurturing love in perfect harmony and trust. Use your personal affirmation as a mantra in your meditation practice. Relax, breathe ...and feel the truth of your words permeate throughout your entire body. Feel the soft tissues of your breast come into relaxed harmonious balance with each breath. Go slowly. Let go. Take a moment to step back, take a deep breath and reflect on your current way of nurturing. Take time to consider that you may be hindering someone else’s ability to feel free to grow in their own way. Trust and support their ability to stand on their own two feet with confidence. PERITONEALKARZINOSE | Ich werde oft auf meine HIPEC (operative BAUCHFELLENTFERNUNG samt CHEMO) angesprochen. Das war vor über 2 Jahren ein experimenteller Ansatz. Denn: Das Bauchfell ist kein "typischer" Ort, an den der Brustkrebs hinstreut. Und selbst wenn, müssen einige Parameter erfüllt werden, um überhaupt operiert werden zu können. Nun bin ich zufällig im Rahmen einer RECHERCHE auf folgende spannende Fallstudie aus „THE BREAST“ (bereits aus 2013) gestoßen. Vielleicht für alle interessant, die unter einer Peritonealkarzinose mit einem Primum in der Brust leiden: 📌 Treatment of peritoneal carcinomatosis from breast cancer by maximal cytoreduction and HIPEC: A preliminary report on 5 cases Although peritoneal carcinomatosis from breast cancer is a rare event it frequently causes morbidity and mortality. Current literature provides scarce information on its management. We report outcomes in 5 patients (mean age 59.4 years) with peritoneal carcinomatosis from breast cancer treated with maximal cytoreduction and hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy (HIPEC) by the closed technique, at 40 °C for 1 h with cisplatin 75 mg/m2. The primary breast cancer was a ductal carcinoma in 3 patients and a lobular carcinoma in 2. Mean peritoneal cancer index was 20.2. In 4 of the 5 patients surgery achieved macroscopic complete cytoreduction. One patient died of disease at 56 months, 4 are alive and disease-free at 13, 45, 74 and 128 months.
