Pupdate on the “J” Pups! Most of these little faces have gone to their forever homes and are living their best lives, but we do still have 4 members of this sweet family up for grabs. Jersey is a happy boy who loves to be outside playing and soaking in as much of the great outdoors as he can! However, he has an incredibly cuddly side to him and loves belly rubs. He is very attentive and likes to be part of everything you do, a true buddy for life! Jayla is the sweetest little one out of the pack and takes a moment to warm up before her playful side comes out. While her siblings may love to wrestle with each other, her biggest joy in life is being by her human for all of the snuggles and attention a girl could ever want! Jona is definitely a brave boy with a lot of spirit. He enjoys running around with his siblings, learning new tricks, or just watching everyone else do their thing. He is definitely a cuddler and has been getting along with and learning from the older dogs in his foster home! Jasper is a very outgoing guy who has never met someone he didn’t love (and who didn’t love him right back)! He is convinced that cats are his friends and really enjoys his puppy companions as well. Happy Tuesday from the puppies!! We recently got an update from one of the siblings of the puppies that gives us a good idea of how they may look and what their DNA tests may resemble! Here is what the owner said about their girl: “She’s got a big personality! She’s smart, but also very independent so sometimes she uses her wit to get exactly what she wants. She loves all people and all dogs. She loves to go on walks and play outside. She’d probably stay outside all day if I’d let her. She loves to play with toys, especially tug-o-war and fetch. As she’s gotten older, she’s become quite the cuddler too. She’s food motivated when it comes to training so I used treats to teach her sit, lay, come, and shake.” Her DNA results show that she has some Poodle, Great Pyrenees, and Lab in her along with Border Collie and Catahoula Leopard Dog! It's that time of year again. Adoptions, donations, fosters, events & intake slow to a crawl. We start our #homefortheholidays posts because we hope and pray we will have space to pull extra dogs into our program for Thanksgiving and Christmas. We can not do that when our adult posts get a fraction of the shares/attention that puppies do. Puppies are cute but adults are too! We are a small, foster based rescue trying our best to help our shelter friends out. Even by moving one dog at a time, it helps open a space for a stray or a surrender (they have to deal with multiple per day). Please meet our adult dogs ..... I double dog dare you to share and or tag a friend! These dogs are all potty trained. They are either house trained or used to a kennel. Most are fostered with dogs and used to a fenced yard. Remi is a petite girl weighing in around 35lbs. She is obsessed with playing fetch or tug of war. You will wear out long before she does. This girl is one smart cookie! She is potty and kennel trained, and will kennel up on command. She is a wonderful co-pilot and LOVES to go on adventures with you. She does okay with other dogs as long as they are respectful, but would prefer to play fetch by herself. Her ideal family would be a young couple or individual, with no kids, that is active and likes to hike, run, play ball with her and keep her mind challenged. Maaska is so stinking precious. She was one of four surrendered yesterday. Her owners had been living out of a truck and could not get proper help without giving up all 4 dogs. The owners are now getting the care they need. Maaska will need to be spayed, pre surgical bloodwork, a dental, vaccines, prevention, microchip and a heartworm test. The cost of these things is more than her adoption fee. Thanks to the folks that continue to support us in person and/or online ... We didnt have to think twice about this situation.
