"Dr. Mabuse" by Propaganda was at no. 7 in the german charts when I bought it. At the time I choose the 12inch and realised years later that I got the "13th Life Mix" that had the same sleeve and labels as the regular 12inch here in Germany. Shown here for the challenge are my other Mabuse themed 7inches. The original UK 7inch and the UK 7inch with the Zeppelin sleeve playing an instrumental mix. The next one is the japanese 7inch. The last one is a mailorder only from a few years ago. "The Secret Tapes Of Dr. Mabuse" contains their demotape songs "Disziplin" and "Doppelgänger". (How it all started). 37 years ago one one of my favourite albums of all time was issued: "A Secret Wish" by Propaganda. I still remind playing it for the first time and "Dream Within A Dream" was instantly a beloved favourite track. This is my favourite issue of the album. Music On Vinyl made this very limited (500 copies) double vinyl in light blue with gatefold sleeve and this beautiful booklet. A Secret Wish, the debut album by Propaganda from 1985. One of a series of 1980's record overseen by Trevor Horn that are out and out classics. Pure synthpop with hints of New Wave, Krautrock and Electronica to my ears. Also, any record that has guests appearances of the calibre of John McGeoch, David Sylvian, Steve Howe and Glenn Gregory is certainly worth the entry price. FULL VERSION LINK IN THE BIO Debido a que (hasta donde se) no existe una versión instrumental oficial de esta canción tal y como fue lanzada en el álbum de estudio, yo mismo me propuse a hacer una lo mas fiel posible a dicha versión. Para ello, utilicé las partes instrumentales de la versión original de "The Murder of Love" lanzado en el álbum de estudio "A Secret Wish" en 1985, combinándolas con las secciones sin voz de su remix titulado "Loved", lanzado en el álbum de remezclas "Wishful Thinking" aproximadamente cuatro meses después del álbum de estudio. El resultado final no suena tal cual a la mezcla oficial, pero es el resultado que se puede lograr con los elementos utilizados.
