Avšak kdo má víc, chce ještě víc a jako se tomu dělo a děje stále dokola, válečný konflikt je na spadnutí. Na řadu tak přichází revoluce ruku v ruce s naivní nadějí. Víc bych k ději neprozrazovala, protože je vcelku předvídatelný a tak si podrobnosti schovám, ať vám nepokazím vaše čtení. Beztak mnohé prozradí i anotace. 🗣️ Nemám z toho radost, ale mám ke knize několik výhrad. Do dvou třetin u mě převládalo nadšení, bavilo mě hraní si se slovy, studium na oxfordském Babylonu i parta studentů tzv. blábolů, kteří to neměli lehké díky svému cizímu původu. Pak se něco zlomilo a další část mě už k uzoufání nudila. Vývoj hlavní postavy kantonského studenta Robina Swifta byl dle mého názoru vyumělkovaný a následoval vleklý a nezajímavý děj. Nutno ale dodat, že se zakončením jsem spokojená.
