Decided that once a week the boys + I are gonna go out for an adventure. This week, we went to a hiking trail close to our house + it was so much fun. I notice such a change in my toddler when we get out, less tantrums, generally happier etc. It doesn’t have to be fancy or cost any money and tonight while I was putting my toddler to bed, I asked him what his favorite part of the day was (like I do every night), he said hiking 🥺 I’ve been making some changes with myself the past few weeks and it’s been such a game changer in our house. Normálně máme pořád nějaké kroužky, každý den něco. Pořád spěcháme, ať jsme někam na čas. Tento týden byl Tomášek nemocný, tak jsme veškerý program zrušili a jen byli spolu, beze spěchu. Na jednu stranu to bylo hezké, trochu vydechnout a neřešit, jestli stíháme. Ale na druhou mi to vlastně chybělo. Jenom pár dnů a už jsem ztrácela ponětí, co je za den v týdnu a přišlo mi to jako strašně dlouho. Já prostě asi musím mít ten nabitý program, tak to mám celý život a jsem na to zvyklá. A mám to ráda. Talking of hearts, food really is my love language and I adore cooking for and feeding the people I care for most in the world. Weaning is really just a step closer to being able to include Alba in our special dinners and eventually we’ll be able to really make mealtimes a big social event in our home, which is what I’ve always dreamed of for my family. Food is at the centre of so many of my family memories and traditions, and I can’t tell you how much it means to be able to share my love of food with my babies, but I know that some people think of food purely as fuel for the body and don’t enjoy socialising when they eat at all! Meals I made for my toddler that she kinda actually ate this week 🫠😂 Theme: Toast and berries. Always cheese. Out philosophy around toddler meals and eating is that we offer everything but don’t put pressure to eat it. When we’re all at the table, we all eat the same thing. So I make sure to have some kind of safe food incorporated. It’s helped her be a non-picky picky eater. Reusable Nappy Week - Top Tip Tuesday I have a few tips: Number 1: Don't be daunted by it, I know I was when I started. Start simple, I highly recommend the birth to potty saver bundle so you can try a few brands and see how you get on. Number 2: It doesn't have to be all the time. We part time cloth because we have 2 little ones in nappies and an older child with SN who has his own toileting difficulties. This means sometimes the washing can overwhelm me so I try to have a balance. Number 3: Ask for advice don't feel you can't because you don't know anything. I knew nothing last year at all and the only reason I gave it a go is because I asked people for advice. The language seemed so confusing but they helped me understand about the different types, what PUL meant, how to wash them. Number 4: Don't think the waistband has to be as tight as a disposable, it's the leg elastics you need to concentrate on as that's where it will leak from.
