Chef Mickey’s is a buffet style character meal open for breakfast and dinner and is located at the Contemporary Resort. Meet Mickey, Donald, Goofy, Pluto and Minnie. Allergy Tip: Definitely speak with the chef. For my kids, I was not comfortable with getting food from the buffet. The chef was wonderful about bringing out safe food straight from the kitchen for them. For myself, I was comfortable with the buffet and the chef told me what I should avoid. This dining experience is definitely more about meeting the characters than the food. It can be a bit overwhelming, loud and chaotic, but also lots of fun for kids. It even includes a little dance party. At the end of your meal, get your picture taken with the photopass photographer with props and magic shots. The pure joy and excitement on his face when characters come out are the moments and memories I absolutely live for! 💙🏰 This dude has been lucky enough to experience the Disney magic since right before he turned 1. People will say “oh they’re too young to remember anything, don’t take them yet”…just tell them they’re wrong! Bring your child at any age you wish…they’re free under the age of 3, so why not take them more often till you gotta pay for their admission. There’s a lot of any height rides they can go on. There’s a lot of parades, character sightings, or fireworks to see. The memories are for YOU the parent to see the happiness in them. One day they will remember and as they grow older they’ll have their favorite rides and be able to ride more. Elias has been enjoying his first vacation. He went on the monorail 🚝 for the first time, and got to meet all his favorite Disney characters at Chef Mickey (more pics to come next post). Elias loved all of this so much, I can’t imagine what he will do if he can ever go to Disney World. Elias has been having the time of his life. Tomorrow Elias goes in for his 6 month post frontline scans. He will get a chest X-ray tomorrow, and then the brain/orbit MRI Wednesday morning. I can’t believe we are now off chemo the same amount of time he was on chemotherapy.
