Disney's Contemporary Resort - Disney Resort Series The Contemporary is one of my favorite resorts! It's located on the Monorail (it goes inside the hotel!), it's a short walk to Magic Kingdom, and has a great pool, several restaurants, and a beautiful view of the fireworks! This hotel is one of the pricier options, and be careful when booking because there is a discounted section called the Garden Wing that is attached to the main hotel, but is not part of the main hotel, and guests are sometimes disappointed when they realize they've booked the wrong location! Steakhouse 71. Is it worth it? My answer: Yes! 🍔 Steakhouse 71 is located at Disney's Contemporary Resort and is named after the year the resort opened! This family friendly steakhouse has a true taste of Disney heritage with a menu inspired by some of Walt Disney's favorite dishes! For breakfast you can order a variety of American favorite like eggs benedict, steak and eggs and even Walt's Prime Rib Hash. Last year for lunch I ordered the Stack Burger, which did NOT disappoint. We fell in love with this resort even more on this trip. It was exactly what we needed. 🫶🏼 We stayed in the Garden Wing of Disney’s Contemporary Resort. For our family, this part of the resort was far superior to the main tower and here’s why: ✶ it is SO relaxing ✶ our room in particular had a fantastic fireworks view, this room view was technically a water view because you could see the water slide ✶ away from the hustle and bustle of the main tower ✶ rooms are slightly smaller, but we didn’t notice ✶ ground floor rooms have a patio with chairs ✶ our room was steps away from this beach overlooking Bay Lake and we spent so much time just playing and relaxing here Overall, this room category was so good for our family. Easter 2024: A World Tour of Culinary Delights Mom and I set out to EPCOT on Easter to spend some time around Flower & Garden Festival. It was warm, yet beautiful day. Then for dinner we headed up, way up, to California Grill. This prixe-fix dinner was phenomenal. What did we choose to indulge in? Well some of the most famous items on the menu: Sonoma Goat Cheese Ravilolo, Short Rib Wontons, Spicy Kazaan Roll, Filet of Beef, Chocolate Ganache Cake and White Chocolate Cherry Creme Brûlée.
