Made a trip out to the most picturesque of fishing villages last month, Boscastle. I just love how this Cornish harbour is truly dwarfed by the landscape around it when you're up on the hills. The sky was broody as hell, and I wasn't hoping for much light, then a little magic slot moment came casting gorgeous sidelight to the rocks and valley for a few fleeting seconds. Early morning light on Roche Rock, just after a lovely sunrise. Meandering round I found these large granite boulders surrounded by lush ferns. From this vantage point, the hermitage appears like an organic extension of the rocks, rather than something imposed upon them.
