First for some Moday humor! Archie decided to be on the bench for the Bulgarian Split Squats. Their main purpose is to build a big booty! From this picture, Archie doesn't need to work on them๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ Now for a more meaningful share. It's Monday! No Excuses! Got my workout done- Leg Day and did I work up a sweat! It's also DAY 22 of my Happy Hacks Challenge. I shared about it 3 weeks ago. Every day I've been tracking these 8 habits: 1. Moving my body 2. Water intake. 3. Following a nutrition plan 4. Using a BODi supplement. 5. Listening to personal development. 6. Being outside for at least 15 min. 7. No screen time once I am in bed. 8. 5-10 min of stretching before bed. I have hit 8/8 on 19 days. This is huge for me as there was a time where i couldn't commit to anything. And with all the rain it has been a challenge to get outside every day. I have only missed this once. I no longer look at my phone once the lights are out, which is a huge accomplishment! And I have found I enjoy and need the extra stretching before bed. What has helped me be accountable and consistent? ๐ŸŒWorking on my mindset every day ๐ŸŒhaving access to workouts I can do from home ๐ŸŒHaving nutrition plan that is easy to follow. ๐ŸŒHaving a community to support me every day! So...Wow.... I'm not even sure what to say... The Leader Equine Dressage Spectacular CPEDI 3* went better than I could have imagined. I know Macey is amazing (slightly biased), and I know she has been working well, but to step it up even more at a competition to produce 3 back to back Personal Best scores, two qualification scores, crack the ever elusive 70%, and come home the FEI GP Grade 2 Champion... I'm not even sure she's real any more, or how I got so lucky to have her... ๐Ÿซฃ A big thank you to Carlton Performance Horses for such an amazing competition! And to all the people behind the scenes that make it possible - sponsors, judges, stewards, officials, volunteers, photographers, support crews. Us riders appreciate everything you do! Also thank you to Equestrian Life for the wonderful live streaming! And because Macey and I definitely can't do this on our own.. It's Monday! No Excuses! Got my workout done- Upper Body Bis and Tris. Also started a 30 day Happy Hacks Challenge where I have to track 8 habits a day for 30 days. Some will be easy, others will push me to be creative and accountable. I said them all out loud to my husband and got a cackle for one of them. I'll let you guess which one. ๐Ÿ˜„ There is the potential for weekly prizes. I plan to stay committed ๐Ÿ’ช. Here is what I will be tracking every day: 1. Moving my body 2. Water intake. 3. Following a nutrition plan 4. Using a BODi supplement. 5. Listening to personal development. 6. Being outside for at least 15 min. 7. No screen time once I am in bed. 8. 5-10 min of stretching before bed. The last 3 will be the hardest. Do you think you could do this for 30 days? ๐Ÿ˜Low Level Allrounder / Super Hack ๐Ÿ˜ โญ16.1h 18yr old Gelding - Wiltshire โญ George is safe, forward and well behaved on the road and not phased by large or noisy vehicles. He is also super in open fields, enjoys a good gallop but would never dream of tanking off. Whilst he is a been there done it all chap, including team chasing, his owners are looking for a predominantly hacking home for him. He can be a bit lazy in the arena so not suitable for a novice but will absolutely step up for an experienced rider with an effective leg. In the past 2 years the owner's daughters have done pony club, riding club and various clinics, pole/grid/flatwork training sessions etc. He enjoys training and clinics and is very well behaved around other horses in group settings. Her 16 year old took him to senior pony club camp last summer and has just done all her GCSE PE practical work on him. He is fun to ride XC, training at 80cm, very good out of the start box, water, ditches, all no bother at all, just need leg on and plenty of vocal encouragement with lots of โ€œgood boyโ€s! His owner is looking for his forever home. Ideally someone with their own land if possible so they can keep him for the rest of his days. Do you ever feel you have no time? Too much work, responsibilities, ideas, things to do. A never ending cycle! I feel you. I used to let not having time or being too busy be my primary excuses from doing things I enjoyed ending up 1. Not doing what I loved with people I loved + 2. Knowing things we can do to help ourselves change our mood or way of thinking can be powerful. Trevor will be turning 12 in about a week. This will be his first birthday as a type 1 diabetic. What does that mean? Well, in a lot of ways not much! There has been A LOT of growth since being diagnosed last April. Jeff hit the books and I into the podcast world to soak our brains into as much about diabetes as I can name. With the help of many of you, we have prevailed with the ultimate goal of keeping Trevor alive, happy, and thriving. Trevor should feel proud of the stamina he sets and his โ€œget it doneโ€ attitude. Diabetes is a full time job and although Jeff and I are helping manage Trevorโ€™s glucose levels, Trevor canโ€™t mentally or physically walk away like we can. He walks now with 2 devices on his body nonetheless, potentially beeping at him. Taunting his ego that is still learning to fit in with the non diabetic world. Trevorโ€™s path has been set with a more responsible 12 year old year he thought was ahead. A life where he will have a relationship with food no one would purposefully choose, but that is LITERALLY life saving. For those still reading, thank you! It means the world for asking how he is and for sharing your stories or journey. I woke up this morning reflecting on this year thus far; Iโ€™m stronger than ever in my mission, and Iโ€™m so grateful for the next set of activities I get to accomplish that Iโ€™ve set for myself this year. Last year was dynamically grand: book launch, engagement, 30th birthday, and so much more. This year is off to a great start, and Iโ€™m building off that momentum. I love the mountain Iโ€™m on. The dreaded โ€˜Blue Mondayโ€™ labelโ€ฆ like we need a subliminal reminder to feel down on a winter evening right at the start of the weekโ€ฆ However, prompting us to own our feelings and work through them Is super important. Some of my fave things to do when Iโ€™m feeling a bit blah and the week ahead seems a tad overwhelming ๐Ÿ˜ด - Clean my space, a tidy environment makes me feel so much better. Including making my bed in the morning. One accomplishment done within 10 mins of waking up โœ… - Walk to start or end the day. Headphones in, big coat on and get outside. Harder in this weather but important to squeeze some fresh air in wherever you can ๐Ÿƒ๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ -Early to bed & early to rise. Winding down earlier and getting cosy in bed is a firm favourite. Then giving yourself enough time in the morning to go a bit slower, have time for that cuddle ๐Ÿถ sip your morning โ˜•๏ธ& a bit of journaling. Writing your thoughts and feelings and a rough plan of the day is so therapeutic. -An ep of your fave show. Sometimes itโ€™s just nice to get lost in fiction. This doesnโ€™t need to turn into a binge, as sometimes this can make you feel worse. Only you know this ๐Ÿซถ๐Ÿป Even though blue Monday is technically over tomorrow, you may still have blue moments. Remember; they are moments and donโ€™t need to become days/weeks. Look after your mind and body, rest but also keep pushing on. You are not your thoughts so donโ€™t believe them first time.
