I don't use Instagram often but thought this beaut deserved some attention💝 We adopted her a few months after our Remi passed away and she has been with us now for almost 3 months. She was found as a stray and although chipped, the details werent up to date and no one claimed her💔 Sadly, under assessment at the kennels, it was discovered that not only does this beauty have melanoma, she also has lymphoma too😭 She also has a tongue that is far too long for her head so it constantly sticks out whether shes eating, sleeping or just being a general goofball👅 We're not sure how long she has left but she is doing great with the help of daily steroids and absolutely loves her new family and home. You won't guess what her name is either!!!!! Yep! REMI🤣🤣 She is 7 in April so a little younger than our Remi was, and although I will never get over losing our baby girl, we are privileged to be able to give this beauty, the loving, safe and secure home, for however long she blesses it💝 Thank you to @hyps_dogrescue for letting us give this girl the home and love she deserves. After a gap of two years, the annual fun dog show and picnic will be hosted by the salon on Thursday 2nd June at 11am. The charity event will raise funds for Helping Yorkshire Poundies and St Monica’s hospital. It’s national rescue dog day! We’ve had our whippet/podenco/lurcher/kangaroo with us for almost 5 years now, and whilst we celebrate him EVERY day it’s nice to mark this day as he really does enrich our lives and we couldn’t imagine life without him. Rescue dogs really are the best and if you have room for a dog in your life, absolutely consider rescuing one as there are so so many waiting for the perfect home. Jasper was picked up by the pound in Leeds when he was around 2 where he was left unclaimed, and with one day left on death row, luckily @helpingyorkshirepoundies_ swooped in and took him in and he was on our sofa a week or so later! Who knows where he’d been before that! He settled in straight away and started putting weight on, but it took him a while to really let his guard down and start to play.
