Throwing it back to when we created a utility room! The last (very poor quality) photo is from the estate agents blurb and shows the middle room was divided with a pillar and main beam so furniture was hard to place around it. When we extended the kitchen we decided to section off the first bit of the room to make space for a utility. We turned the internal window into what became a pocket door and planned on using the newly created alcove for a dining table. But once it was all plastered and a new radiator installed I decided to extend the utility room to run the full length. Best idea ever! As you can see from pic 3 the floor had already been laid and we still (5 years on) have that gap there, but it’s the best space ever to hide the coats, ironing board, washing machine etc etc. and from the other side you’d never even know it was there! I don’t think you can ever have too much storage and love to work out where I can pinch bits of space - anyone else do that? The beach is calling my name! We didn’t get in a beach trip this summer but hoping for a fall beach long weekend 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻, maybe for my birthday?
