I was worried about quality and didn’t want to go from candles and artificial fragrances into the fire of oils with fillers (kind of the frying pan, don’t you think?🤪). A lot of my friends use Young Living. I’m sure by now a lot of you have realized I don’t. HERES why I don’t use YL or Doterra⬇️⬇️ First I want to say, I don’t have anything against these brands. I have TONS of friends who use both and I love that!!! There’s room in the oily community for all of us☺️🤗. So you will never hear me bashing Young living. However, I decided NOT to use them simply because 1. I don’t like only using one brand (or feeling like i can only use one brand) 2. I researched and found that there are LOTS of clean oils on the market and started using the ones that work best for me and my pretty small budget at the time. 3. I couldn’t afford them. 🙈 For me, that’s NOW and Plant Therapy (any fans around here?🙋♀️🙌). What I love about NOW oils: 🌿they are 100% clean and pure 🌿NO fillers 🌿tell you on the bottle how the oils are extracted 🌿give purity testing and quality assurance 🌿for the more expensive oils like my absolute FAV blue tansy, they give a MUCH cheaper option where the oil is diluted 20% in jojoba carrier oil. This doesn’t reduce the potency at all of the oil but makes it much, much more affordable. 🌿I have so many family members who have serious auto-immune disorders who CANT be around fake essential oils or they will have anaphylactic reactions (or my husband gets serious migraines) and they CAN be around NOW oils. This is just another confirmation to me that they are clean and pure!! 🌿They are SAFE for babies! I put NOW oils on my daughters skin ALLL the time. She broke out one time when I used a friends Huggies wipes because her skin is that sensitive and she has NEVER broken out to NOW oils. How I HEALED my anxiety using oils (health journey Pt 2)🌿⬇️⬇️ Like far too many have to experience, I had grown very used to living with some form of anxiety. I tended to spend a lot of my days anxious about work, my health (ongoing autoimmune issues), friendships and life circumstances. I was on anti-anxiety medication for years but I HATED how it made me feel and how dependent my body was. The nauseous feeling I would have if I forgot to take my medicine and knowing that without it I could go into a panic attack or feel like an anxious blob 🫠. I knew I wanted a way out, but wasn’t ready to go completely medicine-free without any natural alternative. It was around this time that I discovered essential oils. I kept hearing about them everywhere and at first had zero interest in using them other than to ditch candles and help my home smell good. BUT then I discovered how to make a roller blend. My first one I made more as a perfume, but quickly discovered that it made me feel different. Good. Less stressed, less anxious, more joyful, more clear minded.
