It has been quite a busy few days filled with meetings and workshops and ceremonies. I feel filled to the brim with creative energy and hugs. I took very few pictures but here are a couple highlights from the awards ceremony for the @wvdach grant awards ceremony. I am so grateful to have received funds to help buy a test kiln and put in new electrical. I will soon have two fully functioning kiln at my studio! Also pictured here are a couple images taken with my new phone. Folks my old phone was an iPhone 7 🙃. I love the dramatic stage lighting pick with my partner in crime @jeffreymoserart . Friday saw the teen girlie get to ride Ellen’s amazing (and fancy!) Incalan (Chip) during her lesson with Jessica — best part was hearing her yell ‘this is SOOO pretty!’ when she got Chip into their first canter together . Saturday I got to spend the day as a horse leader for THE most amazing hippotherapy program in NH with my favorite OT (Ronda). There is nothing better than to spend time with some amazing kids and horses seeing smiles and growth and magic happen right in front of you ✨ . Sunday the teen spent the morning at Sarah’s desensitization clinic with sweet Cole. It is seriously amazing to watch horses and their people connect and trust and share those special moments that help them both grow. Wow. What a big weekend of training! On Saturday, 60 miles on the bike followed by 20 min of running. Today (Sunday), 1.5 miles of open water swimming and 11 miles of running. I feel like someone took a meat tenderizer to my legs - they ache from the soles of my feet to hearts of my glutes. As my coach @gritforward says ‘now let all that fitness sink in for the next couple of weeks’. Do you want to enjoy your weekends more? Do you want to be more present in each moment? 🙋🏻♀️ If any of this resonates for you, I hear you. This was me and i’m proof positive that it doesn’t have to be this way. You can still maintain the same schedule AND create more time for yourself and change the way you show up for yourself. Yes, there are some time management tips that can definitely help (I’ll share more next week). BUT, the root of it is deciding how you want to show up. Another weekend, another long #trailrun @gocubs1744 did the first 9+ miles with me and met his first armadillo! We also came way too close to a snake (I’m pretty positive it was just a ribbon snake but Andrea isn’t convinced; I’m also fairly certain from the way he grabbed my hydration pack he was ready to throw me to the ground as an offering, but he denies this), eyed several scuttling lizards, and I literally HEARD this giant mantis rustling through the brush.
