“Advanced” ….dont let the name scare you! Our Advanced Youth Class is simply for those young athletes with a little more experience. It’s designed to cater to those kids who are capable of running a continuous 2 miles. The class is 8 weeks long, meeting once per week, and is geared toward kids aged 10-15 years old. The goal of the class is to have fun, get healthy, work on running speed and overall conditioning, and to challenge more advanced runners. Class will be capped at 30 registrants. Program dates: May 30, 2024 - July 18, 2024. 1 class per week: Thursdays 6:30-7:30pm, with 1 exception: Wednesday, 7/3/24. Class will be capped at 30 registrations. Yesterday the Curl Curl kids put all their training into practice and gave it everything at their cross country 🏃♂️🏃♀️. It is very rewarding for a coach to see their athletes realise their goals and build that self belief 🥰 Congrats Jones, Louis, Sonny, Mitchell, Annika, Millie, Caden, Sam, Lola, Ella & Emily for all progressing through to Zone 👏 In the 12 year boys, ALL of our runners finished in the top 15 - and all jumped up places from last year 🙌. In fact, the improvements were pretty much across the board as for some it was their first time! They trained hard. They listened intently. They pushed themselves beyond what they thought they could. They supported each other. They reap the rewards 😊. Keep on showing up. Keep on doing your best. Keep on loving it. Consistency + effort = self improvement. Yesterday was the @midhurst.milers 3k race at Cocking. After coming second last year, I was looking forward to trying for 1st place this year, even with a much bigger field of runners. I was really happy with my run and was all set for a strong finish, but on the last downhill section, I was tripped by another boy and went down hard, grazing my knee. I got back up and almost managed to catch the boy who tripped me, but ended up 9th overall with a close 2nd in my age category with a time of 9:56. It’s not just about the physical benefits. ⤵️ … For us, fitness is always about something more. This weekend, we laced up our sneakers 👟 and ran mile race with the boys. They’ve run a handful of races, and this time, they wanted to beat their times from the fall. … Through example, we show them how to set goals, push boundaries, and discover what they are capable of. BOTH boys beat their previous race times!!! Bryce ran a mile in 8:50, over 2 minutes faster than his last race 🎉 and Bo shaved a minute off his time!!! … The real reward lies in them knowing they achieved something they put their minds to — and the fact that WE are able to be active right beside them 🥰🥰🥰 … It’s the sense of accomplishment, the self-confidence gained, and the BIG smiles we get to see at the finish line that inspire us to keep showing up. Uspela je da istrči svoj prvi @bgd_maraton polumaraton. Po vrelom beogradskom asfaltu kao ubedljivo najmlađi učesnik uspela je da pobedi sebe, da pokaže da je sve moguće ako to želite. Gledajući je kako hrabro korača ka cilju, mnogi su se divili njenom karakteru i volji za uspehom. Kada je konačno prešla ciljnu liniju, osmeh na njenom licu bio je neprocenjiv. Eugene Marathon kids fun run. The kids had so much fun! Ryker ran with Daniel and enjoyed taking some side expeditions looking at flowers and made a sprint finish. He also got to run with his cousin Sawyer and they were so cute running together. Ana Marie was STOKED! She ran the whole way, and the whole time just kept yelling "running." I asked her if she was having fun, and she just kept on yelling "yeah!"
