Hram Svetog Save, Beograd. - Više informacija: Hram Svetog Save u Beogradu najveći je srpski pravoslavni hram i predstavlja drugu najveću pravoslavnu crkvu na Balkanu, posle Hrama spasa naroda u Bukureštu, a treća je po veličini na svetu, takođe posle Hrama Hrista Spasitelja u Moskvi na drugom mestu. Nalazi se u opštini Vračar, na istočnom delu Svetosavskog platoa. Posvećen je Svetom Savi, osnivaču Srpske pravoslavne crkve i jednoj od najznačajnijih ličnosti u srpskoj istoriji. I don’t even know where to begin. My Belgrade experience has exceeded anything I could have ever imagined or hoped for. The decaying beauty (no, not me 🫣) of the buildings, the rawness of the city, the soul of the people, the appreciation of art and literature….i could go on. I’ve ‘supported’ (I mean, that’s what I’ve called it 😆) a couple of local artists, like the wonderful Blanka here, who sat down with me, bought me coffee and told me her moving love story 🫶🏽. What a woman! Time here is passing slowly in some ways, but in other ways just much too fast. I quite literally don’t know where my days are going. I am filling every minute and soaking up the influences around me, the art, the culture and the brilliant people. I’m taking time to do the “thinking” I came for….but still the hours pass by like minutes. I’m already out this morning, sitting having coffee. There’s an Irish literary festival taking place this weekend and I may just find myself there ☘️ Happy St Patrick’s day to my Irish friends. I’m off to get the bus early tomorrow morning to Bosnia to spend a couple of days with Mario’s parents and I can’t wait for that ❤️. All three towers are identical in design, with 28 floors and 190 apartments each.
