I saw a kingfisher today and was filled with such joy I felt tears ready to spring. It darted from beneath the river bridge I was standing on and flew like a bullet ahead of me into the green, sprawling vegetation on the banks of an oxbow pool. Kingfishers have a long history of symbolism in Celtic folklore. Shopping with my son.... After becoming mom lots of changes appear in every moms life. Yes, m also not exceptional, after becoming mom my life changed to an unimaginable level. When I knew that he is landing in few days from the time I started shopping for him, keeping my shopping aside. Everytime when I enter a shop at shopping mall my eyes starts looking towards kids section without my knowledge. It has became an involuntary act, I start picking clothes for him. It has become a must, if I bought something means it's for my son either it's outfits or toys.. Even if I don't purchase anything for me I won't mind at all. I can see a transformation in me from where I used do lots of shopping for myself to zero shopping but still I feel happy, I feel good, I feel more love.... "Ascension" A pretty great issue with Devil Nezha slowly gaining his ground and taking the world under his control. I like that it includes magic in this story but I don't like tying it with Lazarus in some way and making it about Batman... The villainous magic weilders made an appearance but none of them had anything to do with it. I know it's a Batman and Robin story but making Damian the key figure being able to manipulate everyone is honestly overpowered... And as for the Helm of Nabu charged with all kinds of magic... We already saw it on Batman's head in the Lazarus planet promo, so inevitably, Batman ends up saving the day 🤷♂️ I do love the fact that Waid used Abel and Cain and their house of mystery and the three Witches... But as with everything, Batman passed through them easily. Also somehow they got all the former Robins under Nezha's control and Damian again puts on that Godforsaken Batman suit for the millionth time...I know Waid wants to set this up with the World's Finest series but it feels forced for me. Nezha himself feels like a Trigon rip-off who has been gone MIA for years. Even in the cliffhanger with Alfred being a illusion by Nezha and Batman being overly trustful to him even though he buried him himself was unsettling for me. Anyway, I enjoyed the issue though. So many things were happening, it kept my attention glued to it. "The Demon's Revenge" Hence begins Damian Wayne vs Batman and company. I still don't get the point of this storyarc, especially as a Batman related thing. This should be a Justice League Dark storyline, which happen to involve Batman. It seems silly that such a powerful magical being like Devil Nezha won't cause any disturbance for DC's magic weilders to notice. I understand, Mother Soul being the key player and Damian's bloodline as heir to the Demon as the heart of the story, there was no reason for making it a Batman thing except the obvious one. 🤷♂️ Seeing Damian as the bloodthirsty, annoying little asshole again was not something I wanted after Williamson's fantastic run... But here we are. This issue in a whole seemed pretty generic to me. Mark Waid obviously is a great writer and he will deliver, but I don't feel much interested in it other than seeing magic in the DC Universe being explored. I hope it changes... As for the Elephant in the room, Alfred's return is the thing that confused me the most. Of-course it would be great to have him back, but my feelings are kinda mixed on this topic. Alfred's death had life changing impact on some characters, especially Dick and Damian... Bringing him back will most certainly change things, but I have no idea how that would work. Guess that's one of the reason I will be keeping up with the series..
