I’ve got my radar honed in on something around the corner…I think it’s Friday 💚💛💙🧡 That means today is Thursday and I had a CT scan for my cancer. The team was very impressed with me today. They all squealed with delight when I walked into the procedure room. Then they told Mom how quickly I came out of anesthesia and how well I bounced back. My oncologist, Dr. Benz, gave me the best compliment of all. She said I don’t act at all like I have cancer. Yay!! Here’s more from Mom: Boy, what an emotional day. Good news first - there does not appear to be any masses in Kona’s lungs. 🙏🙏🙏 Not so good news - the tumors and nodules in the liver are in different lobes. Attempts to biopsy the largest mass were unsuccessful but all indications point to the same type as the other - Hepatocellular Carcinoma. In this case, Unresectable HCC. The tumors are in different lobes of the liver and there is no way to safely remove them all. So now we turn to multi-targeted kinase inhibitors to interfere with tumor growth. While these aren’t chemotherapy drugs, they are anticancer drugs. There is a drug for humans that is realizing positive results when used with canines. Dr. Benz is looking into this as our initial choice. If this drug doesn’t prove effective, there are others we can try. Hopefully, we can begin treatment next week. You all have been so lovely in praying for and supporting our sweet Kona bear; please continue to keep us in your thoughts. Epcot Dapper Day was wonderful! My playsuit ended up being the perfect choice for the day and I was so happy to have found this coordinating bag✨ It was very warm, but we had a great time. We got there early to explore the country pavilions before it got crowded and hot. The flowers were beautiful and I finally got this macaron from France that I'd been wanting to try for years. The a butterfly landed on me and matched the butterflies on my playsuit! We spent time with friends and hid from the sun later in the day. Since I had a race the next day, we went back and changed into comfortable clothes for the evening. We had dinner at the France pavilion and saw the Moana area for the first time. It was beautiful lit up at night. We headed out shortly before park close and managed to see the fireworks from the Skyliner. Posted @withregram • @byleahspencer Before computerized screens, NY’s subway cars used rotating fabric scrolls with stations printed on them inside illuminated windows to display the train’s route. In the train we shot in, there were 12 of these sign windows in each train car, and we had 5 cars, so that alone is 60 signs. With the addition of doubles for cars playing twice as different routes and the train-front route signs, we made 163 directional car signs (though we only see 3 of them…). In place of fabric scrolls, the most practical alternative for us was to make the top 2 illuminated sections with black vinyl on milk plexiglass and the unlit bottom with printed vinyl mounted on showcard. Like the Bowery station, these car interiors had a mix of paint jobs, so that helped each car look like its own train. The MTA was able to supply all of the ads that run across the tops of the cars, but all other ad and sign holders had to be covered with new graphics. To figure out what and how much needed to be created, we scouted train cars at the @nytransitmuseum and got to ride on the exact train we’d be using in the Bronx’s rail yard for a dry run (10/10 perk of the job). We unfortunately didn’t realize until the day of that the window backlighting gave off a cooler white than the printed vinyl section. This actually made the vinyl look more illuminated than the backlit plexi… Knowing this would have saved the electric team a lot of work and made all of these graphics cheaper to produce, but it is good to know for the future how bright a warm white can look, especially in a dark and grungy environment. Ela passa a lutar para conquistar seu espaço, dando um baile no machismo, no assédio e no preconceito da época. A alma dessa série chama-se Rachel Brosnahan. A atriz constrói uma personagem maravilhosa (não podia perder esse trocadilho), cativante, espirituosa, inteligente e divertida. Ela tem um timing perfeito para comédia e consegue ser expressiva de um jeito hipnotizante, nos fazendo rir num estalar de dedos com muita espontaneidade. O restante do elenco do núcleo principal também é excelente! O texto dessa série é um negócio absurdo: sagaz, veloz, ácido e engraçado. Da mesma forma são os diálogos. Os arcos dramáticos são bem construídos e satisfatórios. É preciso destacar também o belíssimo trabalho visual, seja nos figurinos ou no design de produção, proporcionando uma imersão incrível na Nova York dos anos 50/60. "Mrs. Maisel" desenvolve-se em um perfeito equilíbrio na linha que separa o sério demais do “humor brega”, entregando o tom certo para as críticas às quais se propõe, sem cair no exagero da excentricidade de seus personagens. La Fabuleuse Mme Maisel. Chaque fois que je voyais la vignette de cette série sur Amazon Prime, je me disais plein de choses dans ma tête sauf : tiens, faut que je mate ça. Entre la police du titre, le titre lui-même, l'imagerie de la fin des années 50, le sourire de l'héroïne, tout me semblait puer du cul la série vieillotte, poussiéreuse, soapesque, conçue uniquement pour les fans de Bridgerton ou d'Emily in Paris. Mais certainement pas pour un badass rock n roll punk rebelle Lorenzo Lamas super bien membré tel que mézigue. Mais voilà qu'à quelques reprises, des gens en qui j'ai confiance dans le dedans de leurs goûts, ont laissé entendre devant moi que Miss Maisel c'était achement bien. Ah merde. Bon, mais tant pis, spa grave, je peux pas tout voir. Oui mais voilà, quand soudain c'est sorti de la bouche d'un type que j'admire profondément, ça m'a fait comme des papillons noirs dans le ventre. J'ai compris qu'il fallait que je voye à quoi donc ressemble cette série. Alors je nous ai lancé l'épisode 1. De la saison 1. En priant pour que ça nous plaise pas. Bikoze que depuis 2017, date de la sortie de cette série, y'a eu 5 saisons en tout. Bon ben merde. Ça nous a plu. Énormément plu. Je te la fais courte : ça raconte, dans le New York de la fin des années 50, l'histoire de Midge Maisel, qui n'a pas 30 ans, issue d'une famille juive où la névrose ne se mesure plus tellement ça déborde, maman de deux enfants (un gamin creepy et un bébé à gros front) et dont le mari Joel se barre pour sa secrétaire. Jusque là, bon, okay, sympa, mais pas de quoi tirer trois lattes à un pétard. Sauf que voilà : Midge Maisel elle a un don pour faire marrer. Contrairement à son mari qui, le soir, se ridiculise en faisant du stand up dans un club downtown. Mais quand Joel la quitte, Midge picole un grand coup, se lance sur scène, improvise un one woman show de tous les diables et finit par sortir ses magnifiques seins, ce qui lui vaudra d'être embarquée par les flics.
