Occasionally you get a pic that perfectly reflects your family dynamic… and this one does. If you know us… then you know… Channing is in the background emptying water out from her boot that took a swim during a ridiculous launch into the water by her daddy. Aggravated but never down for long and always regrouping. And even in the teenage years a delight to be around 💕 Crawford has taken care of everyone per usual, made sure all is well, and then entertaining himself with a solo dock launch. It’s so cool watching him evolve into the adult version of himself! So proud of who he has become. John is genuinely entertained by getting himself into a kayak that is clearly too small and wearing a sheepish grin as he thinks of how to comfort channing after nearly overturning her kayak. Always keeping it light and bringing the fun to our adventures. Had Dixon been here he would have been right in the chaotic mix giving us all instructions. We have missed him greatly this trip💕 I was in the water… waiting not so patiently for the whole circus to get moving. I am here to keep things moving and get the job done. We are a collective mess with so much strength individually, in what we bring to the table! Thankful for the perspective as I look at this pic. My 5 year old, Lali, did Danza with me twice today. A total of two presentations. She simply wanted to do Danza, and right next to her daddy to. Quiahuitl to (well, only one presentation with her). She hopped in for a couple of permisos, and that is everything to me. I never imagined the day I would be doing danza presentations with my daughters, even tho they are the reason for me walking this path. I never envisioned what it would look like, let alone what it would feel like. I felt great. It felt amazing. I felt proud. I felt admired and looked up to. Lali followed all of my movimientos, even when she didn’t know the pasos. I would try and tell her what would come next, and she was a damn good follower. She kicked when I told her, she spun when told to do so, kneeled when she saw me,.. toda la charla. And she held on for a couple of danzas straight to. I’m literally proud of my babygirls. Tiahui Ikal Citlali y Quiahuitl Metzli! The most important thing is that she loves it, and she loves doing Danza with me, her daddy. And the best part is, her smile and her laughter while keeping along with the pasos. She genuinely has a lot of fun doing Danza. My heart is complete right now and it could be more happier. Just another day in our life of kids and dogs. 🩷🐶🩷 Swipe to the right to the last picture to see how Seraphina feels about life right now. Lol. I literally pulled her out of her carseat and put her in the shopping cart like that. 🤣🤣🤣🤣 What does our day actually look like? Well, I had to be up at 7:45am this morning to get myself ready for the day then I had to wake up Aschlyne and help her get ready. We left at 8:50am to pick up my boss and drop her off at her first location. From there, I ran and grabbed iced coffee before bringing Aschlyne to the P.E.T.S Clinic so she could get her puppy her next round of vaccinations. Upon finishing there, I had to go get gas, pick up my boss and bring her to her next location. I then got to come home and thought I might have time to nap with the baby but nope. The baby is teething and has mostly been screaming all day long and terrorizing the household. So instead of a nap and downtime, I chased after a screaming baby, cleaned up after said screaming baby, fought the girls to clean their rooms and do their chores and once I managed to accomplish some order, I swept and mopped the floors, cleaned the counters (the only thing I didn't get to was the dishes and laundry), and went back around and did the floors again after the puppy decided to pee all over my freshly cleaned floors. Then I packed up the baby and her and I left at 3:30 in a 100° to go to Target. Doesn't sound bad right? Wrong. The AC wouldn't work, so I got stuck driving 15 minutes up the road in an extremely hot car with no AC. We survived getting to Target and I ran in to grab the essentials I needed and change the baby's poopy diaper while waiting for my Mom to get off work. Once she did that it was time to go pick up my boss and bring her home. My Mom grabbed us Starbucks and off we went back into the car with no AC. Got to my boss an hour after she was ready to be picked up, brought her home and came home myself finally. Luckily, the dogs are calm, the kids are .... well, not getting into trouble at least, but Evie is fighting me cleaning her bedroom and has been for days and the baby won't stop crying for more than 5 minutes at a time. 😑😩😒

I bet in their own way, they’ve certainly been affected by our move. I recall amidst packing, Lukian having a meltdown because I relocated his drawings: How could you do this to me, mama?! Our boys were a big consideration for our move, in the first place. More space to be active, greater interactions with nature, closer to our main source of childcare (grandma), learning how to slow down and just being able to take a breath.
