RESEARCH SHOWS THAT HAVING A CREATIVE HOBBY HAS MENTAL HEALTH BENEFITS (Department of Health and Aged Care, Australian Government). As a working mom of 3 little boys under 7 years old, the mental load is heavy. Even though I am exhausted at the end of the day, my mind continues to race with everything that has to be done. Because sewing requires deep focus, it quietens my mind. It forces me to slow down, be present, and pay attention to what I am doing, or risk making a mistake and having to unpick 😂 During my time spent sewing, nothing else exists. I am able to finally relax, slow down, and enjoy the process of creating something from nothing. No overstimulation from blue screens, just me, my creativity and the meditative sound of the sewing machine. And the best part of it all is that I will have something to show for it at the end! Nel pomeriggio i gruppi hanno lavorato alla costruzione della performance finale con l'aiuto delle conduttrici e dei conduttori.
